Literally the chillest game I have ever played, if you want to take a load off after a long day and relax this is the best game to do so. It never fails to put a smile on my face. So much to do and will you keep you coming back everyday. A must own for switch owners!

You will need one switch console and one copy of this game for each player. As many others have said a family cannot share a switch and this game and have the same experience. The other players will get a severely reduced experience in this case. You can only have one island per switch console and only one player can be the lead no matter what. The save files are on the switch console and cannot be moved or uploaded to the cloud for the cloud saves feature. If you are a single player who only plays one switch console this is the best case scenario and you wont have to worry about anything, but if you are a family who all share one switch console its going to be a big problem for this game. You can also only do so much in this game per day, then you have to wait for the next day for things to happen, this is half the fun of it, but this type of thing might not be for everyone. I am not sure of the longevity of this game, as after day 3-4 I find myself already getting bored with it. Doesnt seem as good as previous entries in the series and as far as multiplayer online goes that feature doesnt seem to work too well, and not a lot to do in multiplayer. If you played an AC game before, this is basically the exact same game as older versions with of course a few new features added in. The bugs and fish are the same and the fossils and museum are the same basically. In this case it would benefit the player to have more access to tools in the first day of the game not having to get them later on. You wont be able to reach your whole town on the first day of the game which ruins some things. It is like when you get all the good equipment at the END of any other game, instead of giving it at the beginning when the player could actually use it. If this something that annoys you, dont buy this game. This game has a massive flaw in the fact that the tools you are using break, and you are required to craft new ones whenever that happens. If you havent played this game before, tools are completely essential to gameplay and you need to use them for the entire time you are playing. Unfortunately that happens extremely often to the point where its ruining the game. This still stands but oh my gosh, after playing for 20 or 30 days the game TOTALLY OPENS UP! Here is what happens, after a certain amount of time playing you get this thing called terraforming. This lets you literally transform your island into anything you want. This is quite literally, the best feature of the game. You can FINALLY knock down those cliffs and make your island easy to navigate. You can make custom patterns. You can quite literally, do anything you want with the layout of your island. From what I can see from playing you have to get at least a 3 star island, you can do this by having no more than 220 trees on your island, plant the flowers around the trees, spread out the flowers. Get a few more villagers to join you. You want to get KK Slider to have his first concert, you can get this by again, achieving a 3 star island. I think it took me about 20 to 35 days, it may take longer or less. The problem is you have to get to this point, and as I said before its a grind, this is not for the impatient.

I purchased this as an anniversary gift for my fiancee, she is obsessed with Animal Crossing and she has been anticipating this release ever since it was announced. The only complaint we have had on this product is due to the Coronavirus and how it delayed its arrival an extra day after release. The entire point of preordering is insuring that we have it on the day it comes out, but because of the virus that did not happen. It was only a day late, and it was no big deal to me but she could not curb her disappointment. However, it was remedied very quickly and they only took an extra day to get it to us. I am impressed. The game is exactly what you would expect from Animal Crossing, only enhanced. It is better, the entire town can be customized to your imagination with few limitations. Roads can be paved, houses and bridges can be built, all of which are subject to where you place them. You are still in debt to a Raccoon but that is just part of the experience, and very expected by now from fans of the game. She absolutely loves the game, and I am thankful because her happiness is also mine. Thank you Nintendo and thank you Amazon for the quick delivery despite our state of emergency.

Nintendo continues to dazzle its fanbase, old and new. The game is consistently rewarding, aesthetically pleasing, and forwardly fun. The game presents you with a new checklist of creative potential every day, and is truly a game where you get out what you put in. You want to discover fossils and donate to a museum to build a wonderland of exhibits? Check. You want to befriend your fellow villagers and learn recipes to craft new furniture? Check. You want to completely change the image of your island to your liking through inspiration? Check check check. Seriously fun for gamers who like a calmer, unique style to interior and exterior design, fun discovery, and adorable characters!

To me this is the best switch game. It works great handheld or on the big screen. It has so much repayability its insane. BOTW has the better story and better graphics, but this game will suck you in.

I am giving this game four stars, simply because I am saddened so far the game doesn’t have the gyroids that were in previous games. Trying to collect all of them was one of my favorite things in New Leaf. However, besides that this is an absolutely fantastic game! I have been a big fan of Animal Crossing ever since I played the original on the GameCube, and was so happy when this game was announced! Shipping was also fast and efficient which I greatly appreciated as I couldn’t wait to start playing!

So I recently got the game cuze I wanted to see why it’s so popular… well I can see why! It’s so cute and very relaxing! I love that it’s so customizable and you get different characters! I’m still new to this so my island is still just starting ( I’ve had it for about 2/3 weeks?) but I recommend!

I am an Animal Crossing fan from the GameCube days. This is the worst one Ive played. We just had Toy Day and I dont know how much you have to play or manipulate the game to fully enjoy holidays, because we just started playing early this month, but this was the saddest Toy Day in our households history. The odds were not in our favor. I see from the internet that folks are selling, with real money, items from the games. I dont know. This version is not as good as I thought it would be, considering how much I enjoyed playing Pocket Camp. Ill just keep playing on the Wii. Well use our Switch for the other games we love. Animal Crossing New Horizons had a lot of potential, but I feel more frustrated and disappointed with this version. Its very strange how they took a beautiful, beloved game and made it annoying. You put a lot of work into this version, its not a chill-and-play game. Then, when you see what youre missing when you visit other islands, it has a dampening effect. Toy Day will only come once a year and we didnt get hardly any DIYs in our balloons. Sadness. I hope other holidays are better.
