Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch

Yall know youve seen the buzz about this game online, and normally, I would be a little suspicious of it all. However, this game has changed my life in the best way possible. Despite being propelled by a deep feeling of FOMO, this is probably the best purchase I have made out of all my depression shopping. It makes me feel good when I know that even if my real world friends arent checking up on me, Cheri, Deirdre, Kitt and all my other villagers are. They care. This game, man - its beautiful and precious and all good things at once. I play it every single day, which says a lot considering I am a Sagittarius and can never stick to one hobby for more than like three days, and its been two months since I bought this. Its the first Animal Crossing title I have owned, and boy, does it live up to the hype. The developers are updating the features steadily, with changing seasons and events, so even if it didnt seem perfect when I first bought my ticket from lil Timmy and Tommy, it does now. Plus, I never thought Id enjoy catching bugs. There is nothing like the sense of accomplishment one feels after catching a tarantula. Buy this. You wont regret it!

I bought the game for my bf for our anniversary because he’s been wanting to play it for a while so I surprised him with it he loves it, it’s very calming and he’s just getting into it so he’s not to far in the game but he likes the fact that he can fish and collect fossils really great game to play together

A main line Animal Crossing title with a lot of quality of life features --What is Animal Crossing? For those who havent played Animal crossing; its a very relaxing game where you play the way you want and able to express yourself through gameplay as everyones interactions are not the same. Most of the time you do mundane tasks, have random events, collect items, do tasks to advance. There are unknown, surprise unlocks/expansions You play your own way (no pressure/stress to complete anything) There is so much you can do in one day especially when some expansion starts or you have a goal in mind The more time you invest the more you get. You set your own goal, can be ambitious or casual in your advancement Its pretty much a life sim/sandbox with random animal creatures where everyone has unique experience --List of features 1. Theres 1 island per switch. 8 houses or accounts 2. 4 player simultaneous play. Follow a leader (range you can travel/screen space centered around the leader) With party play, items collected are put into a recycle box to obtain later 3. Able to backup save file one time. Nintendo going to give more details on this later 4. If you have a Animal Crossing amiibo- you can invite scanned amiibo to island 5. With a construction permit you are able to create own path, change terrain (cliffs, roads, rivers, bridges, slopes) 6. Nook miles. achievement system. pay off getaway package, rewards. Earn by completing tasks around the town With Nook miles you can purchase Nook miles tickets where you can go to a mystery islands with new resident and tons of items to collect. Good way to farm items 7. Nook link. Switch Online Phone App. video/voice chat. transfer designs from Animal crossing new leaf via QR code 8. Resident service center: add shop and museum 9. Random merchants- sell items not found in area 10. There are fish tournaments. Bug offs. Seasonal events via free DLC 11. New ways to traverse with Volting poll and ladders 12. At the start you can choose island 1 of 4 island layout (able to edit later with construction permit). Able to choose between northern and southern hemisphere to start off at a different season 13. There are new resident animations. Resident dont just stand there doing nothing. Able to place furniture items both indoors and outdoors Overall very fun and addicting game where you can express yourself through gameplay. A lot of quality of life improvement compared to past games in the franchise. BEST game in the franchise in my opinion (Wished it had NES games though). I ordered the game Friday night and it was at our door before 8:00 AM on Saturday. During our downtime on the weekend, our daughter played it every time. I like the game because it is about building a community and helping each other. No guns or crazy stuff! :)

bought this game after selling my old copy. its great for relaxing and theres so much you can do. i will admit that it bothered me how limited i was at the beginning but thats just my opinion. the game is still great. lots of cute little characters.

After being a huge fan of this franchise for many years, I am happy to say that this is the BEST Animal Crossing yet! You have the ultimate ability to be creative with your land, furniture, villagers, and even clothing. You can interact online with friends, and even make new friends. The best part is how quality the graphics are. This game is really beautiful to look at! Yay! :)

Got it for him for Christmas, he probably has 40hrs of play time on it already.

This seems to a fun game for my daughter. She keeps coming and showing me things she has discovered.

This needed better reviews, so I’m here to save the day. Yes it’s only one island per console BUT your kids can all play at one time together while doing the same things. It makes the experience like a group effort, you’re creating your own village together as a team. It is a much more rewarding experience while you work together to build your island from the ground up. You don’t need to buy more than one to have both of your kids happy, just maybe have them together when naming so they can agree. It’s has amazing graphics and is good for all ages. I’ve been a fan of Animal Crossing games for years, and the wait was worth it. Please buy this game if you’re considering something to do during your time stuck at home.
