> 3 dayMy siblings and I grew up playing Animal Crossing on the GameCube, the DS (all of them) and the wii. We were very excited for it to come out for the switch. And its a great little twist on our classic game. The only thing that was mildly annoying is having to build your tools every time they break-- this isnt a new feature, but you have to gather the material to do it, which is very time consuming, and also has a limited amount that you can collect each day. It was very nice being able to play with friends from other states via the internet.

> 3 dayBeen playing since release day. Please send help. My island is 5 stars, I have the cutest villagers, and a lovely garden. But Ive also stopped paying my real life bills. My rent is past due, my car got repod, and I think theyre looking to shut my water and gas off here in the next few days. My wife was threatening to leave me, until I got her to also play the game with me, now she wont leave. Silver linings, I guess.

> 3 dayThe title is a bit exaggerative. I didnt buy them both for myself, I bought the digital copy for myself on launch day, and have been playing on my island for nearing on ten months. I bought my most recent copy for my step-nephew for the holidays and I hope that once I give it to him he will seriously appreciate this game as I did playing the Animal Crossing games since Wild World. Theres new elements to the game that significantly changed the Animal Crossing formula such as DIY, which is just ACNHs term for crafting, the player character and villagers live on a deserted island, which you can now add furniture and rearrange homes to make it as lively and as organized as the player chooses, rather than a small town, in which you stuck with what you have, and couldnt change as much. Same as the previous installments, you can catch bugs and fish, dig for fossils, and in the newest update you can dive under the sea to catch sea creatures like in New Leaf, this game is overall one of the best modern Animal Crossing games we have gotten. That isnt to say this game is perfect. On launch day, there was no way to save your island to the internet, it could only be saved to the console itself, so if you were to move a Switch profile to another Nintendo Switch, and that was the only profile that played the game, you would lose all of your progress and it would he difficult and sometimes downright impossible to get back. Luckily this problem has been somewhat solved, but that left a bad taste in my mouth that the developers didnt consider what certain players experiences might have been. And that isnt the only problem with ACNH, but that was one of the biggest ones. Overall, if you think the player would like lax gameplay and creating your own goals rather than them being shown to you, this is probably a good game for you to pick up. If not, you can try to play it anyway, but Im unsure if youll appreciate the concept, which is also okay. Everyones different. Theres no perfect game for everyone.

> 3 dayThis is such a good game. I’ve been a fan of the series for many years, and you don’t need to have played the others to play this one. Easy to understand controls, beautifully relaxing music that changes based on the weather and time, The dialogue consists of cute conversation starters that really illustrate how much the developers care about the individual playing the game. My daughter falls asleep to the jazzy music and that’s a big plus, too!

> 3 dayI was waiting for a pre-owned animal crossing game including cartridge and I received cartridge but not the art. I enjoy collecting art from all games I played and it’s sincerely frustrating even though the product was in really good shape!

> 3 dayI have been playing Animal crossing for many years and loved them and I have been playing this one for a while and I love it so far. This game is not for everyone. I suggest if you like games where you can control things and can customize and build slow paced game where you want to please your towns people and build a town then this is a game for you.

> 3 dayA HUGE plus for giving people more to do and for continuing to support the game! The crafting system is pretty fun! It gives you reasons to explore yours and other random islands. So many custom designs! I do wish each player/character got their own list of designs. Could use improvements on buttons used to do things. Sometimes multiple functions for the same button gets in the way, like picking things up and erasing tiles, or using an item and shaking a tree. I dont play the game much, but it could use a way to transfer saves to another Switch or cloud save in case your Switch gets stolen.
