> 3 dayMy daughter is 100%, over the moon, stars in her eyes in love with this game. Anytime shes gotten free time to play with her new Switch Lite, this is her go-to game. Its cute, wholesome, and I like that Im not having to constantly watch over her shoulder to make sure nothing wildly inappropriate is about to jump out of the woodwork. Im a Nintendo fan in general because my personal preference is games that look and feel like games, not warzones, and Animal Crossing definitely doesnt disappoint there.

> 3 dayHonestly, youve probably read and heard all the reviews for this so let me share some highlights from my experience: -I hustled the Stalk Market to make millions -I paid off a mortgage, which certainly isnt happening in real life for a while -I time traveled to the future to return with a winter wonderland in my pockets, resulting in a Christmas in July themed bar on my island -I got the elusive Raymond villager to realize hes nothing special and want him off my island -I somehow caught 20 coelicanths and littered my island with them -I decorated 50% of my home before getting distracted -I redesigned 80% of my island before becoming content -Lastly, I played religiously for weeks on end. Then I missed one day and I havent been back in weeks. Overall, 10/10 game. Its exactly what I hoped the sequel to my favorite series would be, and more. Their content trickle for holidays was a great way to slow the game down and prevent people from binging it entirely, which people still do. Ill probably revisit the game just because I know villagers wont have moved or ruined my town by moving in over my, I assume, still existent blue rose patch. If youre contemplating the game, youll probably enjoy it.

> 3 dayIts a great game for single player. Its weird for something thats marketed as so family friendly to not work for families. Basically, they force you to have one island per system. Even if you have different users and wach user pays for their own copy of the game in the store, youre not allowed to have your own islands. We discovered the hard way by having to delete someone elses island to give priority to the person who initially wanted to play it more. We should t have had to do that though - leave one person sad over having to delete an island they liked, and only let them be a guest to someone elses island (which greatly limits what they can do). Theres no previous disclaimers about this too.

> 3 dayMy siblings and I grew up playing Animal Crossing on the GameCube, the DS (all of them) and the wii. We were very excited for it to come out for the switch. And its a great little twist on our classic game. The only thing that was mildly annoying is having to build your tools every time they break-- this isnt a new feature, but you have to gather the material to do it, which is very time consuming, and also has a limited amount that you can collect each day. It was very nice being able to play with friends from other states via the internet.

> 3 dayIve been an AC fan since my friends little blue gamecube from my late elementary days and I love it. Ive had many versions from ds, 3ds, wii and now switch and Ive loved being sucked into this world to destress or kill time and boredom. The additions are always something to look forward to with each release and is super kid friendly which is great since I am now a parent.

> 3 dayThe number of times you press the A button to perform basic tasks is so high that my wifes thumb has been hurting lately. The excessive length of cutscenes to join a friends island, or to watch a friend join your island, discourages group play or play with strangers, and the whole game feels poorly designed. There are regular patches reacting to the top 1% of players exploiting bank interest rates, certain high value commodities, and other mechanics. Nintendo is doing copyright strikes against Youtube videos and reporters discussing these issues. There are fan-made videos showcasing quality of life features that.. its frankly sad none of them existed from the beginning (and likely wont).
