Anteenna TW-999BNC BNC Male Handheld Antenna Scanner Antenna (20-1300MHz) with BNC Male Connector for Scanner Radio and Frequency Counters

Put this on my portable scanner. Its a telescopic antenna. I pull it out about halfway for best reception. With my old antenna, I could only hear very local stuff. Now, Im picking up radio traffic from several towns over.

A little better than a stock antenna

I like the fact that it has a 36 inch telescopic length because while Im in the house I dont have to use the full extension

I used this antenna on my Radio Shack Pro-91 scanner. Its a big upgrade from the stock antenna.

Greatly increased range of my scanner.

Retaining clips within the telescopic parts arrived loose and shaking around inside, causing the antenna to not remain extended. BNC connector loose as well, causing it to bobble on any radio.

Simple upgrade to my Bearcat. Picking up much more traffic now!

Did not make a difference, save your money. Shop local for crap like this. Truth hurts don’t it
