This pulls in some distance signals that are being broadcast via repeaters for the fire departments in my area. The antenna is rather tall and can be heavy as for as using with a hand held unit so you have to be careful when using. Other than that it seems to allow the pulling of more stations, but I wouldnt use it as a traveling antenna.

Damaged and Defective Antenna. Money down the drain. What a piece of junk. Bought one about a year ago and it was a good one, but this one had to go in the trash. Poor quality control

Works good sometimes...sometimes the original rubber ducky works better. Depends on interference

It fits well, the only problem I have with it is very top heavy with it extended more than half way. Dont believe that is the best antenna for portable scanner.

The one thing is the price and the shipping, which I like which I ordered 2 more and the shipping.is very reasonable. I looked at MFJ on shipping alone theyll charge $35 dollors or more for one antenna.

It increases the range over the standard rubber antenna that came with my handheld.

Seems to give a little more distance and clarity on my police scanner than the stock ant it came with. good value for the money
