When pulling a micro vacuum, you must make sure all equipment hooked up is rated for micron vacuum ,other wise you cant maintain the deep vacuum. This tool is rated for micron deep vacuum.

Best core tools I have ever owned. Easy to use. Buy 3. Use one on liquid valve, 1 on suction valve port and third on port of core tool to have a valve to close your micron gauge off with. DO NOT TRUST MINI BALL VALVES. ALL Yellow Jacket ball valves I own LEAK. Not these core tools. Ball valves work on charging hose ends to take pressure temp readings okay, but only use these core tools if you want good low micron pumps downs that hold around 250 microns.

Five stars all the way around. Stay away from the Hilmor ones. They’ve failed so many times - appion makes quality. You get what you pay for. Cheap tools aren’t good. Good tools aren’t cheap.

The Schrader removal tool would never catch, even with the instructions followed, just would never catch, ended up releasing alot of refrigerant, luckily I had the right equipment to stop it, and the unit was going to be replaced. Not worth it.

Pulled one vacuum correctly and will not put schrader back into position. I’m not sure if I just got a dud but very disappointed

As said, the best Ive ever used, including the more expensive brand. I have five. Three are for when you need The Big Three and two from others, verifiable as unused, from others, as back up, to which Ive never needed to do. I have done rebuilds on some, but on a maintenance schedule. As with planes, flight/usage time is not usually a convenient time.

I have used this twice and it never leaked any refrigerant. A must have tool if you dont want any refrigerant loss during valve core replacement. Also allows a faster charge by removing the valve core.
