This little thing helped me get a vacuum down to 200 microns. I would recommend you keep the Schrader IN the tool when you take it out before the process. Just makes it easier

Very well-made tool. Easy to use. Holds the Schrader valve core very securely. No need to recover the system gas to replace leaking valve cores. Allows for valve core removal for more rapid system evacuation. Vacuum-rated. More expensive than the knock-offs, but well worth the extra $$$. Supplied with extra rubber seals. A very good value in my opinion.

Overall quality product however the side access port isnt welded in place or part of the molded body. I have 3 of these one was backup for if my orings went bad and i didnt have any backups on the roof or what not thank God i had a backup that day. I guess i over tightened my micron guage and snap goes the side port lost my vaccum a days work. And lost my backup. They are very good but could use a better side access port.

I use these on a daily basis during cooling season and weekly during heating season. There is not another product on the market that is comparable. I have yet to have one fail and break vacuum. As a core remover, they work flawlessly. I buy them here because they are significantly cheaper on Amazon than the supply houses.

First time using it I had trouble hooking on to the schrader valve but once it snapped on it worked like a charm

As a DIY, changing out the stem core was a real challenge using this remover tool. Ive watched multiple youtube videos and thought I knew all the tricks. It was much more difficult when I actually tried it. After multiple attempts at blind fishing by feel, I finally got the core out. Word of advice: after you started the process of trying to unscrew the valve and even if you think it did not come loose, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE TOOL FROM THE SERVICE PORT AT THIS POINT! Itll be a nasty surprise. Luckily I was quick to screw the tool back on. The only way to work it through was to go slowly by feel and remove the stem extractor often to check. Installing the Schraeder was a piece of cake. I would recommend this with huge reservation; if you dont know what youre doing you can potentially loose all the refrigerant in your system.

Severely disappointed with this purchase! Have yet to be able to remove a core with it. When micron gauge is connected it will not pull down below 1100 (multiple attempts) but taking my gauge off the appion and putting it on my C&D it pulled down and held at 306 for decay test. And to top it off....I was evacuating a system today, shut the valve on the appion and disconnected my hose to insert valve stem and heard hissing. Put my finger over the end of the appion and low and behold...the vacuum was sucking air back into the system through this POS! Too late to return. FML and my 50$ smh
