> 3 daySeemed a good time to leave windows as this Mac is one of the best suited (for me) multimedia machines in its price range. To upgrade to sufficient W11 machine was about the same price. Was not difficult to transfer data and I quickly adapted to Ventura OS and programs after 37 years PC/Windows. Also able to download my primary productivity programs in Mac versions, which for me was better than switching to some of the Apple software. (Research software options well if you are thinking of changing OS.) I am very happy with the keyboard as it is lighter touch and reduces fatigue during my rather long times at work. I would have liked a number pad on the Mac, but a bluetooth pad works OK since I dot do as much number work as in the past. The magnetic, easy release charger is nice and I like the charging software for the machine. The touchpad is good, but I use a bluetooth mouse virtually all the time. I do miss my touchscreen a bit, especially the ability to more quickly enlarge a specific viewing area. But overall, a good tradeoff. No regrets, just a few things to relearn or do a bit differently. Speakers far better than any Windows machine I had prior, and I had some pretty good speakers and higher end platforms. I dont use an external speaker anymore. I had a fingerprint reader for security on at least one prior machine. Forgot how much I liked it.

> 3 dayEdit: To add to this review. Ive noticed some people are complaining about USB ports. Please PLEASE do your research before you buy! Its all USB C ports. HDMI is great to use a Monitor, frees up a USB C port for other devices! The SDHC ports are also available, and absolutely necessary for the everyday Photographer, videographers. That dont use a C Fast memory card (Which most computers youll need an adapter anyways, but anyone that used normal SD chips for their cameras, its a great to use! My last windows computer didnt have one, and I ABSOLUTELY needed it, (its all I could get at that time and luckily I had a USB Adapter) and really no cons. Im always on this computer, always needing to edit something, and its been great to have! Otherwise refer to my original review below this edit.

> 3 dayI went from an Early 2015 MacBook Pro 13 inch Retina display to this unit. The older computer had over 1600 battery cycles on it, but was still working well (just with more frequent charging needed). This one has a more robust battery, and Im putting about 10 battery cycles on it each month. Im really enjoying the larger screen, and the Touch ID feature is great. Yes, it is weighs a bit more, but Im glad I didnt let that stop me.

Greater than one weekI love it. After several cheaper laptop computers that simply didnt get the job done and/or were too slow, I finally broke the bank and got this. I was impressed by the construction and durability. It runs quickly and smoothly and Im able to,download and use apps with no trouble. As an author, I need an efficient computer in which to write and store my manuscripts.

> 3 dayMacBook Pro 16, 1TB, this baby rocks!!! It was finally worth upgrading from my 2013 MacBook Pro 1TB. Despite all the hype abut the models that followed, the 2013 model could still keep up just fine. Now with the new OS Aventura and the M1 Processor, the upgrade finally made sense. Love the finger ID, saves time with all the added security needed these days, and the passwords are automatically entered with the touch of your finger! When uploading your old data, be sure to do it from a time machine backup... it is the most reliable and the fastest way to upload your exiting data. Five stars on this new 16 MacBook Pro!
