Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste

Been using this stuff for years, and it will continue to be the only thermal paste I buy

I have been using Arctic Silver paste for many years. I’ve always found the quality of this product to be very good, and in many computer builds it does a very good job at lowering CPU and chips at temperatures. I can highly recommend this over cheaper alternatives that, while they may advertise to be similar, I have always found this to be just a little higher quality for not much extra money. It takes such a small amount of this paste that even a small tube will last for a very long time. Can highly recommend.

This is actually the 4th time Ive used this stuff. The first 2 times were for a pair of STK392-560 convergence ICs for a Sony rear projection TV. They keep the chips about 5C cooler than with the other thermal compound (measured with an infrared thermometer). Third use was for making a portable N64. Used it on the CPU, GPU, and RAM chips and they stay nice and cool. And my most recent use was for my computer CPU. This, along side the Cooler Master 92 Hyper TX3, keep my CPU A LOT cooler than the original equipment. If you are doing anything that requires thermal compound, then always get this stuff. Dont even bother looking at anything else, because EVERYTHING else is inferior to this.

This is a must, best thermal compound on the market.

This stuff is great! Had a cooling problem with my 3.4ghz dual core Intel CPU, replaced the thermal compound with Arctic Silver 5, and realized an immediate 20 degree drop in cpu temperature! Even after some serious computing, several hundred hours later, the temp stays well with in the safe zone! The Intel Desktop Utilities temperature alarm has not gone off since using this! All is as cool as a mid-winter day!

Keeps my CPU around 29c under no load.

I have tried other Thermal Interface Materials (TIM) and I went back to Artic Silver 5 thermal compound. It is simply the best and I have gotten the best results with it for many years. The product is ideal for CPUs, Northbridge, Southbridge and GPU components that are heat sinked. I have used it on desktop computers, laptops, servers, and Xbox 360s.

This product is necessary for heat transfer from processor to heat sink for cooling and it works great!

Quite pricey for such a small amount, but over all it served its purpose and has so far performed well..

I remember using Arctic Silver when I built my first PC many, many years ago and with my latest build I stuck with what I know works. Theres no reason to try other brands, Arctic Silver is well proven. Easy to install, easy to clean, keeps CPU temps down. Performance-wise its a 5-star product, however I only gave it 4 stars overall because I would have liked more paste per tube for the price.
