> 3 dayI love this set of gouache paints. It is a huge selection and nice, thick, rich, creamy paints.

> 3 dayThe gouache is easy to work with. Its highly pigmented. But the metallic colors, have little shine to it. It shows well wet. But when the paint dries, the metallic effect dissappear. Some of the colors are neon. So swatching them, before you start, would be smart. Its a good set for beginners that wants a lot of pre mixed colors.

Greater than one weekI love the variety of colors available and so easy to adjust colors and cover mistakes.

Greater than one weekI rarely leave reviews, but the quality of this gouache blew me away. The colors are true to their transparency rating, with the opaque colors being truly opaque with just a single layer. At this price point I didn’t expect them to be nearly so pigmented. The more standard colors (e.g. lemon yellow, cerulean blue) are exactly what you’d expect, and the other colors included, like seaweed and latte, are fantastic. Basically I want to paint with these forever.

> 3 dayComing from a beginner with guache this paint is pretty decent. Pros: - color selection - rich, vibrant colors -pearl colors are really beautiful - paint layed down pretty smooth and dried to a matte finish. -a little goes a long way - gives you two white colors which is great for mixing. Cons - some of the colors are a bit transparent , even the ones that are marked opaque. This is most prominent when laying a lighter color over a darker color (ex. Black). This can be remedied by adding less water or a second layer. - pearl colors are beautiful but did not lay well over darker colors. - not many skin shades in this kit so be ready to mix colors.

> 3 dayIve only just started my first painting with these, but they seem to have good dense pigments and beautiful colors. I like having the metallics for some extra oompf. I think these are a great deal for the price.

Greater than one weekSo I loved swatching these paints right out of the tube. They are absolutely stunning. The paints dry to a matte finish which I like but they feel chalky without being chalky. I hope that makes sense. I poured them into full size pans, let them dry for 4 days and then re-wet them as I prefer working from a palette. I must say that they had to be wet quite a bit to reach the same consistency and vibrancy as if out of the tube but that’s fine. I bought them to color with my girls and they are enjoying them.

> 3 dayI had tried cheap-o gouache before - you know the ones I mean - and was always frustrated. This Arteza set was a game changer for me. It works so much better. I love the matte finish, and will be using this instead of acrylic paint in my journal from now on.

> 3 dayI’m a beginner and I’ve done a fair amount of research. I am by no means a professional. Compared to Artist’s Loft, this product is a winner. The colors are awesome, easy to blend, versatile, & can easily be mixed with other colors to find the hue you’re wishing to use if it didn’t already come in the box of 60. Definitely happy with this purchase. The tubes are definitely smaller in size, but sometimes a little goes a long way!
