> 3 dayBought these for my daughter and she loved them. She found them much better than a previous $10 set she got, theyre bright, less chalky, blendable. The wide range of colors is great for someone starting out that might not know color theory or be very good at mixing colors on your own. Although, these do mix well too if you want to adjust colors. Definitely worth the bit of extra price, but still a very affordable great student grade paints.

> 3 dayTheses paints are amazing! I would definitely recommend for beginners! I would say is that if you dont want the drawing to have paint bumps, then this isnt for you. But, if you dont mind then I greatly recommend it! Hopefully this is helpful! Also here two drawings I did with theses paints! I think they came out good-!

> 3 dayIm an oil and acrylic painter with many years experience and quickly learned that you get what you pay for when buying paint. Im also a former college painting instructor that had to do demos with student grade paint and it was sometimes an exercise in frustration. But gouache is something I just dabble with - mostly using it for studies - so when the Arteza gouache Prime Day offer came up I bit, figuring that if it were a total disappointment I could give it to my granddaughter. I have the good stuff (Winsor and M. Graham) but I was tempted by the fun range of colors, the metallics and the price, which was so great! So far I have been pleasantly surprised with the opacity, pigment and texture of the Arteza gouache. The only thing I could recommend is that they need to include more white. To be fair, you do get two tubes, but to really take advantage of the colors provided I feel you would need a couple more tubes of white I had big tubes of white gouache at home already so it doesnt affect me, but this is meant to be a standalone set with no open stock.

> 3 dayIve been using these for about 6 months now and I basically like them. Because of their low price, theyre a great alternative to premium gouache brands. Im using these dry from a palette. Although they crack and crumble like most gouache, they do reactivate easily and offer good coverage. Note: If I tip the palette, the little pieces of dried paint fall out of their compartments and mix together, something thats typical of most gouache brands. (My Holbein set is an exception.) As expected, these paints dont have the pigment load of a high quality paint brand like my Holbein set. I find the Arteza gouache mostly acceptable. My issues with this set is 1. The metallic colors dont have much shimmer, and 2. the color assortment is too garish and neon for my taste. I was not happy with my initial paintings because they were so bright. However, I realized that I can get great subtle colors when I mix my own colors. Thats not what I intended when I purchased these. I bought this set intending to have a good selection of premixed colors so I wouldnt have to mix my own. The mixing takes time, but Im getting better at it. If youre someone who loves bright neon colors, youll probably love this set. I would definitely recommend these to beginning/intermediate artists who want to familiarize themselves with gouache painting without breaking the bank to do it.

Greater than one weekMy daughter needed this paint for one of her college classes. Easy to use, blends well and looks professional.

Greater than one weekThese are not acrylic paints! Theyre water based, but the whole set FLAT paint! I should have looked up the word GOUACHE. So I am at fault. Dont get me wrong the paint texture and color is very good, but there is no shine to them whatsoever.

> 3 dayAlthough the prices on Amazon are rising rapidly lately, if you shop the website vs Amazon, you might get a marginally better price. Like these gouache paints. Like their watercolor counterparts, you must add glycerin, honey, or gum Arabic to carry in a portable pallet.

> 3 dayI like the paint well enough but if it was a little bit thicker I would love it. I’m just learning to paint so I will learn as I go. Update: As I learn to paint better, I think these paints are great. If I am working on a painting and want it to dry quick I just hold it in front of the fan a few minutes. I’ve learned a lot on mixing colors and creating my own style. I give them 5 stars

> 3 dayI’m a college student and I did get heavy body paint. However, I have these a try as well and they are perfect for practicing before I use my expensive paint :)
