I bought this to use as an intro to gouache and it has been one of my favorite purchases as far as art supplies go. I have a tendency to buy professional art supplies even when I’m learning something new, but I had heard about these paints and loved the idea of getting a quality start without overspending. I’ve been very impressed with the performance of these!

These are just wonderful! Silky smooth on most surfaces. Just the right level of opacity. The pearlescent/iridescent colors are just the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

I love this set of gouache paints. It is a huge selection and nice, thick, rich, creamy paints.

Good paints for a good value. Not the best for learning color theory of youre a beginner since it was super easy for me to get overwhelmed. But once you get the hang of them theyre nice to paint. The paints do dry a little lighter and the tubes arent always an accurate representation of the colors but for the price I cant complain.

The colors are rich and vibrant. I love them. But you do need to spray seal between layers as they function like watercolor and will lift. Overall, 5 star because just look at these backgrounds… wow.

these paints are amazing. i love them so much. although this is my first time buying/using gouache paint they seem like very high quality paints. they swatch nicely. some of them are meant to be more or less opaque than others and it tells you which ones are and arent as opaque and the level of opacity. at first i was concerned with how small the tubes were but then i figured out that a little goes a long way so that explains why the tubes arent huge. i would 100% reccommend any artist buy these paints. also 60 paints for $44 is a STEAL in my book :)

These paints are very easy to use and very affordable. I like that it comes in tubes, since you can decide yourself whether to use it fresh or make pans, and the amount of paint you get from each tube is reasonable. You can get a wide range of sheerness out of it, with light washes of it working like watercolor while thicker applications can be completely opaque. The colors are vibrant, you get a lot choices. Only issue is that you cant order by the tube if you favor a particular one. If youre looking to get into gouache in an affordable way, these arteza paints are a good way to go. Im sure that if you wanted something about student-grade these wouldnt quite cut it, but for beginners, they work just fine.

I am so in love! I bought for my new adventure with gouache. The colors are so vibrant and pretty!!! Makes me even more excited to learn how to paint!!

Gouache is one of my favorite painting mediums, and Ive been coveting this Arteza set for months. I finally decided to order the set, and was very impressed when it arrived. The colors appear to be so beautiful and subtle that I cant wait to start using them. Ill add them to the Arteza colored pencil and watercolor sets I already own, and hopefully create many wonderful pieces of mixed media art.

This box contains every color of the rainbow and more! Great quality and brushes on smoothly.
