Astra Superior Platinum Double Edge Shaving Razor Blades 100 Pcs Barber Favored by Astra

So this is like asking a guy about Ford or Chevy. Everyone is different. I have tried many different blades and always return to this one for a close comfortable shave. I have a coarse beard and shave daily and will change every 3rd or 4th shave. No nicks or cuts. I also use witch hazel as the after shave. It’s magic.

The blades are thinner than I like and they seemed to grab/snag more than Van Der Hagen, which I used previously. I will most likely return these. I would also only get 1-2 shaves out of each blade after that they really started to grab and made my shave uncomfortable.

These are premium blades at a low price. With my beard,a Gillette cartridge lasts one week.Each of these blades also lasts a week with a better overall shave. 11 cents vs. 3 bucks. Gillette didnt abandon the double edge razor because of improved technology.It all came down to a more profitable technology.Dont play that game.

When I first got a safety razor, I tried Feather blades. they were good, but didnt last very long. These are cheaper and I can get 10 shaves per blade. If you shave every other day, and get 10 shaves per blade, it will be nearly 5.5 years before you need more.

Not good, unless you enjoy pain and bleeding. Would rather shave with a rusty spoon. In the garbage they go.

Im still searching but these are the best blades Ive found yet.

Not one nick in two weeks

These are super aggressive, which is great because I grow a really thick beard! My biggest complaint is getting them out of the paper wrapper, might want to pick a less adhesive adhesive. Apparently I’ve said something that’s triggered a sensitivity filter?
