Astra Superior Platinum Double Edge Shaving Razor Blades 100 Pcs Barber Favored by Astra

Have used these for a couple of years. Astra are middle of range in sharpness and durability. I get far fewer nicks with these than others blades. All skin textures are different but these work for me.

3 years have gone by since I switched from using Gillettes 5 bladed razor to a safety razor. Over the years their prices crept up to the point that I found it unsustainable. I tried Dollar club, Henrys, and just about any other company out there. Nothing compared to Gilletes 5 bladed razor for comfort and closeness. The only problem I had is that if I skipped a day or 2 my stubble hurt to shave. Then I remembered my father and how he used safety blades. Someone told me they could shave much closer and comfortably, even quicker with a safety razor. I watched Youtube videos and had to relearn to shave. After a small learning curve and some nasty cuts I got the technique down. Then I started trying to figure out which blade is the best for me. After a few months of trying just about everything I came across these blades. They are fantastic. They last me a whole year, even more during Covid lockdowns when I didnt shave as often. The one drawback for me with safety razors is getting close enough below the nose without a nasty chunk taken off. The backblade of the gillette 5 is much better at this. So I use both but now the gillete last a full year before I have to change a single cart. Its also much faster and enjoyable to shave this way. Newer isnt always better.

Producto de calidad bien embalado corresponde exacto a su descripción, en definitiva las cuchillas ASTRA son de las mejores en su versión precio=beneficio las mejores, de buen filo (no muy agresivas pero si afiladas) y para mi que me rasuro barba y cabeza su duración es bastante buena 4-5 usos X cuchilla lo cual es unos 10 días ahorras un dineral en cuanto a cartuchos desechables, ya hace un tiempo me cambié al rasurado tradicional y estas cuchillas son de las mejores del mercado. Mi opinión es muy recomendadables.

This old fashioned blade gets the job done as well as the expensive Gillettes or Schicks. I was using this older form of shaving which is a ritualistic procedure with the brush and soap, and the clean up after. But Big Shave lived up to their name with the price of those twin to 5 edge cartridge blades costing high per shave. The difference between a good twin edge and 5 edge cartridge is not apparent. So I decided to once more go back in time and do not regret it. This blade is fantastic, it gives a smooth clean shave. At just two shaves per blade, the blade cost per shave is better than half. I dont see how the multi edge blades did better. And a small side benefit is the elimination of plastic waste. Excellent product.

I use these for scoring bread. Use several per week. Super sharp and I like the large pack size.

I tried one from a sample pack and it gave quite a bit of burn and nicks. Didnt even finish the shave..
