ASUS outdid themselves with this sci-fi all aluminum design of the Prime Z690-A motherboard. This is actually my very first build as before I only used laptops and I wanted a Professional Workstation. This product is only made for DDR5 so please keep that in mind before buying. When you have a clear path to obtaining some DDR5 at MSRP (dont feed the scalpers/retailers that are scalping) dont pass up on this majestic board. Overall the features are more toned down compared to the gamer boards as this generation those have a Q-Release button from ASUS, but this wins in looks, build quality, and pricing as it only costs $299.99 or less. I highly recommend this for creators or people who just want something other than the traditional gamer designs, but again be mindful of having a clear path to obtaining DDR5 Memory.

It works well for gaming, but it literally takes minutes to post! Thats on fast boot, but I feel like that doesnt apply. I know its doing some checks before fully booting, but when cooking something quickly can be done in the time it takes to post, ya done something wrong! It shouldnt be at 00s standards! Christ! Plus, it really hates intel rapid storage configuration. It disabled ALL of my hard drives and I nearly went insane! Definitely gonna stick with MSI in the future.

Works fast and easy

Yes its a first gen product and ddr5 is the new hotness so I should have expected it, but this board is a total disaster and save yourself a week of stress and just dont buy it unless your ram is explicitly on the QVL.

Supports high speed DDR5, just make sure you update the bios or you might run into issues with

Good motherboard with good VRM cooling. Only thing is I wish they could have squeezed another USB 3.0 slot in there- but otherwise I am very pleased with this Mobo

In general, its a good mobo.

If you are going to be using 13th gen you will need to update the bios before use.
