> 3 dayI actually own 3 of these...two that work, one that is broken that I sent back for warranty service. The monitor was mounted on my stand when I purchased it and had not been moved from there until I turned it on and the display was scrambled. I sent it to ASUS (RMA USDAN50820) and, in about 4 days got an email from them saying it had been received. A few days after that I received an email stating that they had discovered scratches on the bezel indicating user damage. The repair estimate totaled $300. I ordered another one (for $269) and asked that the original be returned to me. It is in transit and I will update this with photos when it arrives. They did send photos of the damage which are in a pdf format and I cant upload them here. The photos are extremely blurry and show nothing helpful. I am not a gamer, in fact I am a Nurse and do most of my charting from home. I work only on call and need a comfortable to look at monitor to use on my dual display. I often have to have multiple programs open at one time and use the dual display to make this more efficient. I will not purchase anything more from this company until they make good on their promise. Would I recommend these to anyone else? Not anyone I liked. This is not the end...just the end for now. I will have no problems steering anyone away from Asus.

> 3 dayEither the monitor is like looking at the sun with way too much brightness or its like looking at a dimly lit picture in the night. 0/10 would not recommend.

Greater than one weekI won the Asus IPS panel lottery no damage whatsoever just a little back light. Leading but very minimal not even noticeable up close. It’s a great monitor and it works smoothly with an nvidia gpu during my eso and other elder scrolls gameplay. Also for steam games like holdfast and odyssey. Great picture quality just download an ICC profile and calibrate the monitor it’s easy. At first I was worried about getting this since it’s not a gsync monitor but then I looked up stuff and there’s a guy reviewing this monitor who has a rtx 2080 so it’s perfect for gaming.

> 3 dayI Purchased 2 of these monitors for working from home. Im not a gamer, so a lot of the gamer elements are lost on me, however, the screens are very clean in their design, smooth movement from the included stands, vertical adjustment and swivel for using them in portrait video mode. The video quality is excellent using the included Display port cables. Even though Im running these on an old Dell laptop with a docking station they are pretty nice. I paid 169.99 each at a brick and mortar store near me. I find that they are just the right size for my current setup and make working on grading papers and videos quite a lot more pleasant experience. I was using a pair of old, mismatched monitors and the difference between these and those old ones is night and day. These monitors came very well packaged in a nice thick box with lots of Styrofoam around the entirety of the screen. The required assembly was 1 thumbscrew to attach the base to the monitor stand. Ive been using them for about a week with no issues so far. I did take the time to check them for dead/stuck pixels and so far have found NONE. This was a particular issue since the last monitor I was using had one green stuck pixel right in the middle of the screen that was driving me crazy. Overall Id recommend this.

> 3 dayNO problems at all with my monitor. Have a new PC and what better way to treat it with having a high refresh rate / IPS monitor at a good price! The stand and versatility of rotating the screen is what made me fully decide to go with this monitor! Its great! I had an old LED LG monitor that capped at 60hz and difference is just beautiful with the new PC. Also, does include a Display Port cable but no HDMI cable, just a heads up. I wish it had a remote because toggling through settings, you have to Click the buttons under the screen. Thats really the only CON id give it, personally.

> 3 dayI have been looking for an ips monitor to replace my current Asus vg248qe for a couple of months now. The problem with the current market of gaming monitors is that most of the ips gaming monitors come in 27. Since I sit close to my monitor, this would be too large and uncomfortable for my eyes. I almost gave up and was going to settle with a 75hz ips monitor until I spotted the Asus TUF 23.8 VG249Q gaming monitor. This monitor is the real deal!! I previously gamed on a TN pannel and the transaction to IPS is glorious. Colors are very punchy compared to TN pannels. The only thing I changed in the monitor settings was color temperature. I changed it from warm to normal since it looks more realistic. Other than that, I have not touched any of the other monitor settings. Its that great! Not to mention, gaming at 144hz is an experience unlike any other and I am glad I didnt have to give that up in order to get an IPS pannel. Additionally, the almost nonexisting bezels makes the monitor look very sleek and save desk space. If you need an affordable 24 IPS gaming monitor with 144hz, l would highly recommend this product. Even though I only had this monitor for a short time, my expectations have been exceeded!! Buy this ASAP!

> 3 dayI bought this monitor because I wanted something to play games, with build-in speakers and height adj. PROs: - Really good stand. Sturdy with full moment. Very good ergonomically and it could become a really good secondary monitor in future. - Refresh rate good for a mid-range pc build - Nice colors and good brightness. - Blue light filter is awesome. Nothing really impressive but I love it. - VGA connector. It might be helpful for some. In my case makes me feel this is quite old monitor. CONs: - In my case has poor connectivity (only one HDMI and no USB connections) - Low volume speakers. I live in a place that during daytime is quite noisy and I have problems if I use monitor speakers (even at 100%). They sound quality is ok but the volume is low for me. I use it through the Display Port cable and audio in plug directly to my motherboard (bit better than the DP cable) but nothing really noticeable. Make sure you have the change the volume through the menu, which is different from the PC itself for some reason, because it has it at 50% by default. - No HDMI cable included. At least my box did not come with one. - Really hard to plug in cables (Power, HDMI and DP). Best way to do it is turn the monitor 90 degrees and plug everything you need otherwise you will struggle a lot. - Buttons at the bottom right corner and the menu are kind of unpleasant to navigate at the beginning. There is nothing to differentiate the power button to others (touching it), therefore I constantly turn the monitor off. Now I get why some monitors come with this little joystick at the back. - Dont understand MOBA mode. I play league from time to time, and I do not know why it would help to increase the red tones to the max. It looks horrible. If you reach this far, you might think it is a bad monitor but in general is a good choice. I believe the feature of this monitor is the stand. There are better choices for same or less money than this one. This Asus monitor does the job done but it does not excel at any and other features feel just gimmicky.
