Aubika Elite Strap with Battery and Carrying Case for Oculus Quest 2, Enhanced Comfort and Playtime - Gray

Im a guy with a fluffy head of hair. Lots of people on YouTube recommended halo style straps, most of whom were very short-haired or bald. Im sure they work fantastic for them, but no matter what I tried theyd always just slide all over the place on my head, because they had no true geometry based grip and only relied on friction. THIS ON THE OTHER HAND is absolutely amazing, because it actually cups the base of my skull properly! The diamond-shaped side straps look totally sick and have been very strong so far (been using the headset occasionally over the past few years), adjustability is really smooth and easy, and the battery easily doubles my playtime. Kinda wish it was hot-swappable like the BoboVR system, but I guess we cant have everything. It does handle about any combination of power you can think of - obviously you can plug it into the Quest to charge it, but you can also leave it plugged in and turn it off so it DOESNT charge it... You can charge the battery itself, you can charge it while its plugged into the Quest without it charging the Quest, or you can daisy chain (sort of) to charge both with a single power source. (In this case, they will both charge simultaneously - some external batteries Ive used will route power directly to the other device to charge it faster before charging itself, but this does not do that.) Overall I havent taken it off and would highly recommend!

So my son has had this headset for his oculus for just over 4 months (conveniently a month after Amazon’s product guarantee ended). The circle on the back that adjusts the size of the headset has come off, and the headset can no longer be adjusted. He can pull the straps to get it onto his head, but it doesn’t stay tight on his head anymore. I’m currently waiting to hear back from the seller to see if anything can be done about this. I’m really hoping that they can help out and not say “sorry, oh well”. Update - the seller got back to me, and I’m waiting on a new headset to be delivered. I hope this one lasts longer!

So, two things to know. This product works great. It has a wonderful way of integrating into your quest 2 system, and comes in handy when the battery is running low. Its also a beautiful design. But... theres a manufacturing defect. Youve likely seen the other posts. They have great customer service, so you can get a replacement. However, you can also fix it! The black piece with the rubber head cradle snaps off with a fair amount of force, giving access to the tiny screw that came loose. A little loctite or epoxy on those threads and you should never have this issue again. Game on!

I love this strap and bonus it has a battery. This has been so cool I am able to ditch the cord and use this to keep my Oculus charged for hours! I love it, sturdy and super simple to install! So glad I made this purchase. I am completely satisfied with this head strap.

Great product, an elite type of strap is a requirement if youre going to do any serious VR with the Quest 2. Fast forward a few months and the rear adjustment knob came loose and fell off. I can still use it if I manually hold it in place and turn to adjust the tightness but it does not stay attached on its own anymore. I reached out to support through their website form and by emailing them separately twice with no response so far. I will update this review if I hear back from the company. *UPDATE* Zero response from the manufacturer. Based on the other reviews the rear knob design has a design flaw and will eventually fail. Only lasted a few months and for what you pay its not worth it. *UPDATE 2* Support finally responded to me and said they could not find my order number. I provided them a screenshot of my Amazon order a few weeks ago and there has been no follow up from them since. I am reaching out again.

The battery is everything it is listed to be. Fit and function are great. My biggest problem is with getting an email with the subject of Unexpected problem with your order then it proceeds to ask for a review with absolutely no order issue whatsoever as I had already gotten the product. I HATE DECEPTION. Two stars off for that BS. When you deceive to get an email read you look like a total scumbag. Get your act together. This strap is great, well priced and extends play time. I have not run out of battery power with this on. My on/off button was a bit sticky, I sent an email to the seller and I had a new one in 4 days. The strap feels just as premium as the meta branded elite strap and is quite comfortable.

Comfortable Headset addition. I very much enjoy this extended battery and turn-knob headset adjustment. The Fit is very comfortable and stays secure while playing the activity games such as Beat Saber, Anshar 2 Hyperdrive and a boxing exercise. My only suggestion, (from a friend who has this headset, and why I purchased this item), is to leave it on at all times. The snap part that clicks to the Oculus will start to wear by removing and on and off multiple times. Also get into the habit of raising the VR Oculus at the eye piece verses lifting this headset at the battery to limit excessive strain at the Snap connection point., noted above, to limit additional wear. My friends headset still works great as a Battery extender, but he had to invent an alternate Snap connection point and the fit is interestingly loose. This is an awesome headstrap/battery pack. The cup in the back takes some getting used to but other than that its smooth sailing. Ive got quite a big head so thankfully the cord has slack to accomodate this. And it says it will charge them both at the same time but Ive tried and the quest was taking forever. So I just do them seperately each time. Very good for extended playtime or kicking back on youtube or watching 3d movies on bigscreen. If you want a great battery pack for a good price this is it.
