> 24 hourI like to take walks on breaks at work. That puts me in the sun at the most UV intense time of the day. This umbrella provides portable shade for my walks. No chemical sunblock needed. Its pretty, easy to open and close, and withstands windy conditions quite nicely.

> 24 hourI took this out in the Florida Sun during August. I definitely felt cooler. I received several compliments on the umbrella.

> 24 hourThis has become my favorite means for sun protection. Single finger, open/closed button makes it easy to use when hands are full. Once in a while the button can get stuck but easy to get back into place. The only downside is this version is normal umbrella size, which is okay but I find that for the summer I may want something wider.

> 24 hourLovely umbrella. Pros: offers excellent protection for those with photosensitivity like myself. Small, compact and easy to take with you. Cons: Because its an automatic umbrella, it can close when you arent expecting it if you touch the button while holding the handle. Secondly, if it does close unexpectedly, you must then reset the mechanism by pushing the canopy back into the handle before opening it again. This seems to be a design flaw with all umbrellas of this size with automatic function. That being the case, its a beautiful umbrella that give great coverage.

> 24 hourWorks well to block out sun and heat, but takes an annoying amount of strength to push the umbrella down the last half inch to close it (Im a very able-bodied young person). I have to use two hands and hold it just so to do it. And the parasol has to be fully closed before it can be reopened. It appears you cant open it manually because it doesnt lock in the open position when you push it up with your hands- you have to use the button. Pretty significant design flaw. Van Gogh design is unique and pretty though. Update: The vendor provided very good customer service after hearing about my disappointment with this product.

> 24 hourGorgeous, versatile and has become my favorite accessory! I love the beautiful print on the outside and the gray inner liner. I had no problems adjusting to the automatic open and close feature. The umbrella is compact enough to throw into my tote bag and go, large enough to cover me completely. With Houstons weather lately, this umbrella is a must --- come rain or shine.

> 24 hourIm back to purchase my second Glodeals Almond Blossoms Van Gough print rain/sun umbrella. Have had compliments on how pretty it is and no sunburn while using it. I agree with another reviewer who found it difficult to close. Please read and study instructions in the description on how to open and close. It is opened and closed with the simple press of the up or down button on the handle. Once the canopy is down, (and the umbrella is partially closed,) I have to press the center of the top against a wall and then push the handle forward to completely close it. It is compact enough to carry in a tote bag or large purse. Now that I understand how to operate it I expect it last for years. It works very well for rain too.

> 24 hourIt was a pretty umbrella. I wanted it for the Van Gogh print, so I would look cool rather than frumpy. However it stopped working after a days use. It wouldnt close by itself then not at all. If I had chosen a replacement I might have happier. As well, there wasnt verification of actual SPF protection.I actually need something with legitimate SPF 40+ protection. If you dont care about SPF and just want shade and compactness, you might want the umbrella (if it worked) if it works. it seems nice for shade protection. It is also compact for travel and a manageable size for someone small like myself.

> 24 hourI love this parasol. I use it when we walk to lunch (20 minutes each way in midday sun) and it is wonderful. It stands up to a 15-20 MPH (24-32 KPH) wind if you tip it into the wind; youll feel it but the parasol wont turn inside out on you.
