We signed with our baby and used this video as a fun thing to watch and do together (in addition to our instructional book)and have now given this as a gift. Our son learned over 50 words, which we feel had a great deal to do with the fact that he did not throw temper tantrums because we understood him before he could talk. He is now a very happy, loquacious 6 year old.

I am a big fan of baby einstein, and every other one Ive bought my 13 month old has loved, but this one is not captivating to him, and not nearly as catchy as the other baby einstein dvds. If you are interested in teaching your child signs, whether or not they can hear, I would HIGHLY recommend Signing Time instead. Its real sign language as well, but shows a lot of repetition, kids and babies doing the signs, cute songs, etc. I cant emphasize enough how much better these videos are than the baby wordsworth. In fact, the signing time people were used to train the cute little twin boys in Meet the Fockers movie. You can buy it on amazon, but also check out what theyre all about at signingtime (dot) com

My son absolutely loves the Baby Da Vinci video I bought him for Christmas, and I want him to learn sign language so I figured this would be a great addition to our collection. Unfortunately when I put it on he gets bored pretty quickly and turns away from the t.v. to do other things - chewing on furniture, etc. Where he loses interest is where they are going through multiple words at a pretty quick pace - only stopping and focusing on a few. I think if the video spent more time on each word rather than changing constantly it might be a little more entertaining for him. That being said...I dont know if there is necessarily anything wrong with the video. The fact that it teaches signing is great, so I will keep showing it to my son in hopes that eventually hell get interested in it. Thats why the 3-star rating. Seems like a decent enough video, but its only worth 3 stars in my household because the baby gets bored by it!

In an effort to get an early start on teaching Words, I have selected Baby Einstein because my grand daughter is mesmerized by the music, tone and bright colors. Seriously when we try to video call with her, she keeps watching TV if the video is on.

My 14 month old daughter loves this DVD. We have most of the Einstein collection and she enjoys this one the most. She stays glued to the TV laughing and pointing. She has started to use some of the sign language used and now I know the signs as well.

We love the series but this one lacks. Its too slow paced to keep my daughters attention. She likes Baby Noah (animals) much better. This is good if you are teaching sign language.
