> 3 dayAs a counselor for families with young babies, I have had the opportunity to review a number of sign language resources for preverbal babies. This DVD seems more appropriate for older children rather than preverbal babies who are trying to communicate basic wants and needs. Some of the most important first words and signs for young babies are not offered - eat, drink, milk, more, etc. Instead this DVD offers words and signs such as computer, puzzle, clock, etc. In addition, there are no babies signing or speaking in this production and it lacks an appropriate tutorial for parents of hearing babies who are teaching their babies to use sign language. I recommend the My Baby Can Talk series to teach either sign language or first spoken words to babies.

Greater than one weekThis one and a couple others are obviously Disney-ized. It has gaudy, distracting computer-generated backgrounds and confusing CG effects (dont we all spin around the bathroom?) Woefully underrepresented are the live kids interacting with toys and puppets and other real-world objects. Our kids seem to have the same opinion--this one does not hold their attention like the older, simpler ones.

Greater than one weekMy son absolutely LOVES this DVD! I would highly recommend this seller. The movie came in the expected time frame and the condition was even better than I had expected.

Greater than one weekThis one doesnt seem to hold her attention for very long. I should check the age, maybe she is too young at 18 months. I also wish she would spare us the marketing in the begining of the video that you cant fast forward. My baby dont need to see that crap.

> 3 dayPeople seem bent out of shape that it isnt a great baby sign language video - well I didnt think that was the point. Its title simply says first words around the house. I bought it so my daughter could learn those words and the signs are just a nice bonus! Though I did think it was odd they had a computer in the playroom...

> 3 dayIf you really want your child to learn sign language, this is not the greatest DVD. The My Baby Can Talk series is better (no, I dont work for them.)This BE DVD goes too fast to teach little ones signs, and is boring for both me and my little one! Theres also Baby Signing Time (good but annoying songs, however the little guy likes it) and Talking Hands (looks a bit dated but has the best pace for learning).Wouldnt buy this DVD again had I previewed it first.

> 3 dayI was hoping that this DVD would help introduce baby sign language to my child. However, it is pretty disappointing for a Baby Einstein product. I expected the DVD to teach more practical terms such as hello, nap, play, parts of the body, eat-instead it teaches objects like bowl. Hopefully my child will be more interested in it when she gets a little older! Otherwise,I will have to pass it along to friends...I would recommend saving your money or spending it on Baby Mozart or Baby Neptune DVDs. Those are fantastic!
