> 3 dayI purchased this monitor to replace a 10+ old monitor on my work macbook. Im going from a 1920x1200 to 1920x1080 monitor and hate to lose the larger vertical space but thats what the majority of monitors are using these days! The only complaints I would have about this monitor are minor, 1. I perfer having an external clip behind the monitor as I have some cables that need to be run but out of the way that dont plug directly into the monitor itself (such as a camera and a mouse charging cable.) However, if this were a monitor that hat the back exposed I can see this being appealing and cleaner from both sides, just not something I would need. 2. The power button is big and bright underneath the bottom right edge of the monitor so its not obtrusive like the Xbox 1 controllers but its noticeable. If doesnt draw attention for the most part but is bigger and brighter than I would like. Neither of these is enough to ding a star since it does what I purchased it for and it looks great! Image quality is top notch (while IPS panels have a slower response time they produce much better color and image quality, Im not gaming but working so its just what the doctor ordered.) The imagine is nearly the same quality as the Macbook Pro retina display while using the proper profile. I really didnt have to do much to get it setup an working, unlike monitors of old where I could spend many hours tweaking to get just right. Im very happy with this purchase, especially since it popped up on my price watch at below $100!

> 3 dayIve been pleasantly surprised with this Monitor. I mostly got this work on video editing, and Ive noticed that I dont have as intense headaches that I usually get from staring at a monitor all day. Ive seen prices jump on these from $120 to $200. Dont pay over the $120 price. I did order a second one because I do like the colors and it has helped with my migraines. For those of you looking for a gaming monitor, youll want to skip this one. It wasnt designed for it. I do some gaming on it, but only just for fun. 60Hz refresh rate and I tried to overclock the monitor and it cant be done. So youre not going to get over 60 fps on the monitor. There is also a 5ms delay. Again fine for everything else, but if you looking for a 1ms gaming monitor this isnt for you.

> 3 dayPurchased for an animator custom build. It has a very small top, left & right border an a nice included stand, but using it with a basic NB arm 100x100mm VESA mount. I totally agree with other reviewers on the built speakers being weak, not just volume output lower than expected, the sound is very tinny, but functional. The good news, is I didnt buy it for the sound, since the animator has real reference speakers at each end of her desk. Initially was worried when I saw it was shipped with no outer carton, but everything was arrived OK. Would really like to see BenQ include a real printed manual vs include a CDROM with PDFs on it. I guess someone still uses CDROM? If nothing else, put a QR code on the double fold sheet to the URL for the PDF. I would but it again, it will be interesting to hear the feedback from the user once she uses it for 60-80hrs in a week. included HDMI cable is about 1m (3feet) long. Would be nice if it was 2m in length, and included 4 x VESA 10mm screws. It is a good quality mid range monitor that is easy on the eyes out of the box for a decent price.

> 3 dayThis is a great monitor. Originally bought higher end 1440 monitor but my 5 yr old laptop was only capable of 1080 and refreshed at such a low rate that I was getting nauseous. Switched to this Benq monitor which is more suited to my computer, and it’s been great for the past wk - clear, no dead pixels, higher refresh rate. I use the low blue light mode in combination w auto brightness adjuster and have experienced noticeable improvement in eye fatigue after extended use. Monitor is also very responsive to computer waking up (prior monitor was not as responsive, and I had to fiddle w input selection button). Nice clean design too. Would highly recommend, esp at this price point.

Greater than one weekThe size of the screen is perfect as well as the slick sliding motion to rotate and move the screen up and down. I wish the screen got a little brighter though since during the day it feels a little dim. At night though it looks great!

> 3 dayUsually at this price you get a TN panel with lousy viewing angles and washed out colors. This IPS monitor has much wider viewing angles and much better color than typical TN monitors. The thin bezels and overall understated look are also nice. You also 2 digital inputs (HDMI and DP) plus analog which is more than most monitors of any type of this size and price. And its nice its certified flicker free and has low blue modes that work well. It also runs quite cool and is very energy efficient. And having a standard 100x100 VESA mount is also nice. Now for the bad news. The menu system is needlessly complicated and more like what monitors had 15 years ago. They went to the trouble to give you custom assignable buttons except theyre not one touch access, and youre limited to what you can assign each button to. You first have to hit any button (but be careful not the hit the power switch in the same row or youll shut the monitor off--the buttons are essentially unlabed) to bring up an on screen menu of what the assignable buttons do. Then you can hit the button you want, then you often have to either hit it multiple times or use the arrow buttons to navigate to what youre trying to get to. So much for quick access. Using the regular menus dives even deeper into button pressing frustration. So if you had fantasies about saying assigning Button 1 to be the HDMI input and Button 2 to be the Display Port input think again. You press any button (except power), then the button programed to be Input (which can ONLY be button 2), then you press again one or more times to select the input you want round-robin-style, then you press the check mark (apply) button. So what could have been one press of a single button instead requires up to 5 presses of multiple buttons. Its typical Taiwanese/Chinese poor user interface design. Auto brightness is really useful and reduces eye strain but the Eye Care Bright Intelligence has been rendered all but useless by more poor design. Every time the monitor detects the slightest change in ambient light it pops up a rather large annoying graphic with a stupid large eye on it in the lower right corner for a good 5 or 10 seconds to tell you it ever so slightly adjusted the brightness! Even with the sensitivity turned all the way down, even just the reflection of whats being displayed (say a screen with lots of white vs a dark screen) while wearing a light colored shirt triggers these frequent and highly annoying pop ups. Really BenQ? Why they had to ruin a perfectly good feature by constantly advertising it Ill never understand. Also, while the color gamut and dynamic range of this monitor is better than most TN panels, it falls far short short of what you want for serious photo and/or video editing. The backlight uniformity is also not all that great with some bleed and halo effect. In these regards you get what you pay for. But theres no excuse for the auto brightness pop up. The could have just left some code out of the firmware and it would be a great feature but instead they made it so annoying I doubt many will use it.

> 3 dayI am replacing my old iMac with a new PC but was very worried about finding a comparable screen for a reasonable price. I did a lot of research, read lists of budget editing screens, most of which were $300-$1000 -- still out of my current budget. Finally after reading tons of reviews on amazon I decided to try this one out and I am very pleased with this purchase! I got the 24 inch and played around with the settings a bit but really it was pretty great straight out of the box. I photograph portraits and weddings and I have a very vibrant style. Because of that I needed to make sure the color was pretty spot-on. I had used my husbands computer to edit a few times and found out the hard way that his screens color was way off and it can make peoples skin tones look sickly. So as soon as I get the monitor set up I pulled up images on both my iMac and the new BenQ screen and they looked very close! We actually noticed that my iMac whites are a little warmer so I pulled out a bunch of prints I have had made and started comparing and the BenQ seemed to be even More accurate to what my prints looked like! A lot of people complained that this screen is too bright, but I dont know if they have changed it since those reviews were written... it didnt seem too bright to me at all, I have it set to 100 brightness. Another reviewer posted settings to match the iMac display, but when I put the brightness level to 50 it was wayyy below the brightness of my iMac. So, I kept the settings pretty close to the automatic settings, I adjusted the gamma a little and a couple other things here and there. So I am very happy with this purchase, I will be sure to update if I have any issues or anything else to add!

> 3 dayThis monitor is really bright, And it is worth mentioning that Its bezels are so much smaller than I thought they would be. If you are looking for a sleek daily driver monitor this is the one. Its worthy to note that the eye care features work but I usually turn them off. One minor thing that I really liked was the ease of cable management at the back. This monitor Is huge too, It is such a ease to my eyes to not have to strain my eyes on a small screen. My only disappointment with this monitor was the light that bleeds, Giving a gross yellow color on the sides of the screens while it displays black

> 3 dayIve read a lot about the color reproduction being less than great and the lighting to be too low. Out of the box, the brightness was set to 85, lowered it to 75 and its perfect for my office. Ive tested the eye relief function and seems to work well. Blacks are pretty faithfully reproduced, minimal light leakage around the bottom bezel. Color reproduction is pretty great for this price range and video and games are vivid. I tested Doom, Skyrim, and (dont judge me) Minecraft and they all seem pretty clear. Doom is faster paced and the refresh rat at 60hz is not too shabby. I know 75 and up is the standard for gaming right now, but there isnt much visible difference in my opinion. Im happy with the build quality as well. It is all plastic construction, but sturdy.
