> 3 dayI’m not tech savvy so I can’t say much. But the monitor has a good look to it. It’s very well balanced, so I’m not worried about it falling over. I’m very happy it has a display port input, it also vga, & hdmi inputs, but I’m using the display port. It has a good sound quality too, but I using speakers just because they’re louder. I got it because it’s supposed to be easier on your eyes, I can’t say much yet because I haven’t used it much - I’ll just have to see later. I’m not using it for gaming, only school work, but honestly I think the picture quality uploads good.

Greater than one weekWorking as a programmer, I constantly had headaches before due to the eye fatigue. Then this eye-care monitor caught my attention, I just wanted to try and see whether it works, if not I will return. It indeed helped my eye problem. I tried many monitors at work, cheap and expensive ones, to find one that will help my symptoms, I found a few, but the price is either very high or many of them require a better computing setup to utilize their full potentials. For example, the best one I used is Dell 4K ISP, but it cost over $500 (2018) and its on sale. Other brands are good, but I slowly realize its just a brand many of them use the same manufactory. So the price is basically depending on how popular the brand is. BenQ is not a very familiar brand in the US, but I used to have a BenQ laptop I really like, so I had a very positive feeling about this brand. At the moment of purchase, I had about 3 options: this monitor, a Dell one, and an Acer one. I had an Acer monitor before and its bad, it looks really nice, but when you used it, you will know its cheap. Back in 2015 the Acer monitor costed about the same price as this one, not worth it. Dell one was more expensive, about $400 dollars and 4K, however, I know 4K monitor normally requires a better setup, I had a mac mini (last generation) at home, it doesnt support 4K, why bother to spend so much for that. This monitor is as it described on its amazon page. I just got it about a few days, and after a day of work, and then use this monitor at home, I didnt develop the headaches i used to have. Hope its a durable one also.

> 3 dayIt was a great product up until recently. It’s been about 2 years and 8 months since I ordered two of these. Last month, the first one completely died. Plugged in with multiple cables, wouldn’t even turn on. Now the button appears to be stuck on the second one, meaning the menu is ALWAYS being scrolled through. I’ve tried closing it, cleaning around the button being pressed, pressing it from multiple angles to see if it was stuck. I’ve had cheaper monitors that lasted for triple the time I’ve had these. Support was useless when I contacted them and never responded to any of my emails. Embarrassing for a company like BENQ to still have these problems.

> 3 day**************UPDATE After 1-Full Day Using****************** My initial concern with this monitor (detailed below) was its poor text rendering--very fuzzy letters. After using the monitor for a whole day and night, another major problem has arisen: I cant adjust screen brightness when the room is dim (such as when using the monitor at night). The light from auto-adjust is so bright it makes it hard to keep looking at the screen. This was a great price for a 24-inch monitor, but between the fuzzy text and the too great brightness, the monitor will have to go back, sadly. **********Original Review************** We just got this monitor. Set up was VERY easy relative to other monitors weve bought. Up and running in 5-minutes. We appreciate the cord management system, too. We fit both the power cord and the audio/video cord in the slot inside the arm that holds up the monitor. Its also very easy to adjust brightness and color profiles using the buttons under the monitor next to the always-lit (but unobtrusive) white LED power button. What we werent prepared for, having used for many years now only retina displays, is how painful it is to look at a 1080p... screen. Makes me feel like Im back in elementary school with those ancient machines whose screens were difficult to look at for more than an hour. The resolution of this monitor makes it suitable ONLY for videos the quality of which we dont care about. We wouldnt want to watch a movie on it. More importantly, text renders very blurry (maybe this is just standard for 1080p). We wanted an additional monitor so we could separate our coding tasks, but the fuzziness of 1080p defeats the purpose since we cant look at the characters long without hurting our eyes. One marginal (still unsatisfactory) solution weve found is to stand at least 3 feet away from the screen. But still, looking back and forth between a retina screen and the 1080p screen almost gives us vertigo. Were floored at how poor non-retina, non-4K... resolution is (for text, especially). Why is there still a demand for fuzzy text-rendering screens in 2021? Were pretty sure well send this back and cough up the substantially higher fee for a 4K monitor that renders text suitable for many hours of screen reading.

> 3 dayI felt my big 32-inch screen was burning holes in my eyes and dreaded coming to the office! This screen has made a huge difference. Though it is smaller, it is easier to face each day. The light is mellow, softer, and not painful. If you feel your screen is burning holes in your eyes, try this!

> 3 dayIts an elegant design with very small frame edges. I like the easy change of functions from the control button. I bought an Asus for $275.99 here at Amazon a few months ago, identical performance.

Greater than one weekI use this monitor to connect it to my work laptop through an HDMI cable, so I dont have to stare at a 13 laptop screen all day when working from home. The image on the BenQ monitor is not sharp. I can still read and I love the size (I can put 2 documents next to each other on the screen) but its just not as sharp as would be on my work laptop. Also as of a couple of days, the monitor goes to sleep when I shut the laptop closed, where is in the first week it would keep running which was great as I dont need my laptop open anymore when using the BenQ monitor, and it also preserved my laptop battery. Now BenQ just goes to sleep and I cannot wake it up so I can only work when laptop stays open. I didnt do any changes to the monitor settings so not sure what this is about.

> 3 dayDay 1. I will update the review as testing going. As you can see I installed these two guys on the dual monitor mount ( WALI Premium Dual LCD Monitor Desk Mount) and they sit pretty well. I am using them with MacBook Pro 2016 as extended monitors with two separate HDMI adapters for each monitor (each adapter is like $13). Otherwise, you CANT do extended dual screens on mac OS UNLESS you use pretty expensive hubs like CalDigit TS3 Plus Thunderbolt 3 Dock ( I did pretty deep research on these things ). The brightness could be a little better but its fine for this price. The sensor on the bottom of the screen is a cool feature, pretty much the same as on all smartphones but with the ability to turn off/on/adjust the sensitivity, my kudo for this feature goes to BenQ. The picture in general pretty decent but not the perfect, again price. I got them for work and because I always promise myself to read all those articles Ive opened back in 2010. So now I can open all of them. So far the only problem I encounter is in my mount but not the screens. As you can notice in the last picture the gap between screens is hard to eliminate perfectly.
