First I had ordered the Asus Tuf 24in 1080p IPS monitor. My main multimedia display is a Dell 34in ultrawide, so I am use to the 3k resolution. I couldnt handle the lower resolution and screen size so I sent it back and ordered the 27in BenQ IPS 2k monitor with the build in 2.1 speakers. I was going to get a pc soundbar, but will no longer need one. The sound is perfect for what I need. I am not a headset fan nor want to take up the space for speakers. Stand is the worst, but I have mine mounted with a vesa mount. I game casually and 2K is the perfect resolution for a 27in gaming monitor. Just need to upgrade my 980ti next!

This is the most cost-effective IPS 144HZ 27-inch 2k monitor at the same price, which meets my fps game and work needs. I dont understand why a typc-c data cable is given but no DP data cable is provided. By the way, when I use the M1 mac to connect the monitor, the sound of the monitor will be very stuck, no matter what data cable I use, but this may be the problem of the Mac itself, because it is normal when I use the PC to connect

I tried three other gaming monitors until I finally found this one which is the perfect balance between all the key features I wanted - It has a beautiful IPS screen that, out of the box, has better colors with more tasteful vibrance, saturation and color accuracy than the others I tried. I am a hobbyist photographer and gamer so color is important to me, even more so than refresh rate. I can say that the colors in this monitor are beautiful. I am not sure on what percentage SRGB accuracy it is, but I feel confident that this would be a great monitor as a jack of all trades for gaming a photo editing - The resolution to screen size is perfect! The popular IPS LG GL83 monitor is the same size with only 1080p. At 27 1080p is just too little but 1440p is perfect - The refresh rate of 144 hertz should be all you need for most gamers. I was new to PC gaming and was coming from a 60 hertz monitor and I was psyched to experience the 250 hertz of the MSI E Sports monitor I bought before this. To be honest, I could only notice a mild difference between 60-120 FPS and after 140 I couldnt tell the difference at all. So I decided to find a balance with this 1440p, 144 hertz monitor and I am glad I did - I am running a i7, GTX 1070 with 16gigs of ram and I only noticed a 20-30fps drop in some games that was easily compensated for by lowering a few graphic settings. I was still able to get Borderlands 3 up to 90fps, Remnant from the Ashes to 120 and Borderlands 2 to a solid 144 without much graphical drop. So if you are worried about loosing too much performance, dont be. Its worth the trade off. - The speakers are fantastic for what they are! Do they offer Bose level sound? No. But for monitor speakers with a subwoofer they are more than capable for background music, youtube and casual gaming. These speakers are a serious feature to consider choosing this monitor over another in my mind - I was worried about the stand because the monitor offers no height adjustment or tilt. I found that, while it is a bummer it only tilts, I still found it to be exceptional quality and its really nice for storing small items in the nook it provides. If you need a more features, you can always buy a desk arm stand and have all the flexability you need. - The monitor looks sleek and beautiful All in all for the sale price of 450, this monitor seems like a steal of a value. It seems crazy that more people arent talking about it because I feel its the best balance between price and value.

The monitor is great, but the light bleed and panel uniformity is little lacking. both of my monitor has slight blue tint on left brownish on the right. It also has little back light bleed/IPS glow on the left side as well as bottom of the panel. This is only visible when displaying dark scene/images so its not a huge issue.

Great for gaming on Xbox One X. Monitor is advertised as 1440p max but it actually does 4K 60fps. Gamer 3 picture profile + Game HDR gives best image vibrancy/punch.

This monitor is great. Dont hesitate to buy it. Long review : So I wanted something for gaming on my newly built PC running I7 9700k processor and a 2060 Super. I realized 4k I would love to have but for the price its not worth it. My graphics card is going to do 1440 just fine and this is the reason I got it. I didnt need a crazy fancy 1ms lag monitor. I just wanted something thats great Refresh and decent 1-10ms. I also wanted dual monitor which is the reason I bought a 24 Dell Gaming Monitor S2417DG. It was TN that had bad viewing angles. Figured do I really care? When am I going to be viewing the monitor from the side. Really not a big deal. Fast response time with 1ms and 165hz Refresh rate and under $300. Awesome Deal. For a casual gamer that does play Call of duty and fast paced games the response time was great. However the picture quality was not. The best way to describe it is that it appears as if the brightness is turned up all the way. It has that haze look. First of all I thought 27 is HUGE no way to run dual monitors so I got 24 dell and I just cant play on it. It runs great but going from Sony 930e TV to Dell monitor the colors are not even close. Every setting I tried changing going online and it look good but it did not look great. I bought a monitor that I want to play on not one that looks okay. So for $150 more I went with the BenQ with all these wonderful reviews. Now if your budget and need a good priced monitor that dell is awesome and you wont find better for the specs. It wasnt horrible. I liked it alot just Im about the best of the best always. BenQ was it worth it? So worth it. I now have not played on my TV a single time since getting this monitor. The colors are great the response time is fast and trust 144hz makes a huge difference coming from 60. Everything feels ridiculously smooth. Just moving windows around in a circle I am just amazed. Its awesome. Color is accurate I loved not having to adjust anything it came out of box looking great. Only thing I changed was color mode to Gamer 2. I like the extra pop of color especially when playing. I cant stress enough you pay for what you get. Also 27 is a perfect size its not that big and this is coming from someone thats going to run dual monitors. G-sync compatible. Yes confirmed this is. Even if it doesnt specifically say so it is. And also confirmed that I was able to enable it. Response time yes I can barely tell the dell felt a little faster but not at all worth losing all the color quality. I feel like you just cant enjoy a game without it looking amazing. Connections: Big deal for me. I run a TV through hdmi and 2 monitors. So I love that BenQ has all 3 options. Even if I want to play on my ps4 it will work! Which is great. To clear some things up because I heard inaccurate information from YouTube reviews. HDR, Gsync, Refresh rate will WORK on TYPE C, hdmi, and Display. Yes I can confirm it works on all three because I tried on all three. People online said gsync only works on display and HDR only works on HDMI. This is a lie. I confirmed not the case. Of course you need the correct cables. But it will work. Currently using type C and I love it. Also was able to use Type C cable for my gf mac on this monitor and it works great! If your coming from a TV with 50-100ms lag. Going to a 5 ms lag is going to be a huge difference. You will not be disappointed. HDR yea the reviews are right HDR is meh I mean for call of duty it was whatever kinda got darker I like bright so disabled. However what they didnt say is I believe is made better for Videos. Because i downloaded a full quality HDR 4k demo video and WOW HDR looks amazing. Its so nice that I wouldnt be able to tell difference between my TV and monitor it looks that good. So for that I can say HDR works great! For gaming though I would say leave off but its not bad so try it see if you like it. Also HDR-I is okay but same thing wouldnt use no need to. ALSO Love having a remote to change settings on the fly. Very convinent. Speakers Okay so many people overhyped them :l So are they amazing?! No theyre not. They dont get super loud or sound crystal clear. However do they sound good? Yes! There great and work better than any other monitor speakers. Can definitely say I will be using this as my dedicated speakers. There is no more need to buy external speakers. They will work for YouTube and basic needs. But dont think this will be insanely good. I do love the. though. Overall I am so happy with this monitor and I got to say. Its worth the extra money. Save up never settle. Your forever going to say if only I spent a little more I wouldve got better monitor. Dont find yourself there get the BenQ! I also was skeptical btw because so many reviews said all these people were paid for reviewing on YouTube. I dont doubt it but hey Im honest reviewer and can tell you the reviews are for the most part accurate. I left this review because I wish I knew that HDR and G-sync work through type C. So thought Id share everything else ☺.

Monitor has front-facing speakers that are actually usable (if in a relatively quite environment). Color, response time etc all on par with alternatives with benQ quality / customer support & great price.

Note: I didnt see the manufacturer response to this review for 4 months... I apologize for that. Allow me to revise my bad section, I still cant get HDRi to work well for me I guess the ambient lighting of my gaming room just doesnt agree with it, but I did not realize that HDR Display mode let me tweak the brightness settings (where other HDR mode turn off brightness settings. After some playing around it looks pretty great. Still not the best HDR Ive ever seen but it is what they market it as HDR 400 cant expect it to go over that hurdle Beautiful picture. Even when not in HDR, you can get some brightly colored beautiful quality imagining. Colors are vibrant and the picture is crisp. The refresh rate works out of the box, blacks are deep and whites are bright. The speakers are fantastic. Its actually why I went with this model. I have a set up that splits between my computer and several gaming consoles and I didnt want to have a set of speakers on my desk for each. While I wouldnt replace my external desktop speakers with them they are perfect for my console games.

I like the monitor, dead pixel after 2 months of ownership is not cool though. Expected more from BenQ. The speakers are also mid as hell and peak way too early. Disappointed for sure
