Greater than one weekStay away! Ever since Ive had this projector, 3 or 4 out of every 10 startups only half of the screen works and I have to turn it off (it actually turns itself off) and restart it. If that was the only issue, and its a big one, I suppose I could live with it and I have thus far. Now, with just over 200 hours on it, a bad aberration has showed up on the bottom left of the screen and its not the lens nor my actual pull-down screen. Definitely a internal issue and it can be seen during bright scenes or when a uniform color is displayed. Extremely annoying, something that once you see you cant unsee. Im crossing my fingers that I can get BenQ to RMA it even though it was purchased from a third-party seller through Amazon. I wouldnt take the risk if I were you!

> 3 dayBENQ delivers as expected. I bought this to replace my 12 year old Epson Cinema HD projector after the internal board went bad (known issue). Mounting this can be a big pain because the BENQ has hump on it where as most projects are flat where the mounting brackets go. I was able to use my 12 year old mounting bracket by some adjustments. First I added some foam on hump and got bigger screws (M4) to make the bracket connection. The foam was used to prevent scratches and dents, and to get the bracket and screw in. The other two screws on the flat areas were simple to get in with no modifications needed. Also I preferred to use my old bracket as it was measured for my 120inch screen. The only other work was running a 4K HDMI cable around 30 Feet as there was no 4K 12 years ago. Also had to get a new receiver and a few more cables for other media devices. Now the setup once powered on was pain. BENQ should of made this simple but one has to play with this setting plus the remote etc. Finally after an hour of moving the project in X direction and playing with remote plus the lens on the project I got everything adjusted to my 120 inch screen. Since I am not using this for gaming I cannot rate that.

> 3 dayIm very pleased. I watched a few video reviews before purchasing this projector and I like it even better than the reviewers did. To my eyes the lamp brightness is more than adequate for a dark room even when using the wide color gamut. If youre a gamer, the input lag is only going to be a problem if youre playing competitive multiplayer or if you play a lot of twitchy reflex games where every millisecond counts. I was playing GTA5 (by myself) last night and I didnt notice the lag while playing. 4k hdr movies with wide color gamut turned on are beautiful, I watched The Revenant recently and all those outdoor scenes really popped.

> 3 dayThis was the best economically priced 4k projector I have bought. The picture quality this projector lens puts out is simply impeccable and enjoyable to watch on a big screen. Plus I love that both hdmi ports are 2.2 hdmi quality

> 3 dayOkay so I currently live in a dorm so I cant utilize this projector to its fullest but soon Ill have my own theatre room. Anyway heres a short video of the projector in action. Just on my plain wall which is white paint. The blacks are actually amazing. I cant imagine what this will look like on a silver or black screen. I cant stress how good HDR looks! I own a QLED TV and wow this is comparable with the extra movie emersion! As you can hear the sound is not bad if youre on a budget and cant buy a surround sound system yet. No worries this can still deliver quality sound. No changes in settings. I just plugged it in and turned it on. Only adjustments needed were the focus ring. I also liked the remote. Especially the satisfying clicking feel and sound from pressing the buttons. Overall I have poor conditions for a projector setup right now yet this projector performs brilliantly. UPDATE!! 2AUG19: the blacks produced are so good I highly recommend a white or grey screen otherwise you lose the vivid colors. I only watch in dark so its pointless to have a black screen. UPDATE!! 10AUG19: got my new silver ticket white matte screen. This paired with the projector makes me feel like Im in the movie theater.

> 3 dayGreat picture and quality, but set up can be a little tricky! Ensure you read instruction regardless of how familiar you are with A/V.

> 3 dayIn 7 months ownership I haven’t had any HDR due to it changing white colors to caution yellow, then about 2 months ago an area in bottom left quadrant got some dead pixels (solid white). The part that final pushed a review is today when it wouldn’t turn on at all! Green lights come on, but no lamp or fans follow. Seems to be a semi common issue with them. I always had it plugged into either a Monster or APC surge protector, and it projects on a 110” silver ticket 4K screen with all appropriate cables to fully enjoy this highly recommended projector. Part 2! Big piece of you know what!!! PERIOD!!! NO QUESTION ASKED!!! So the company did in fact replace the first hunk of junk, and the second just failed too. It has had burnt out pixels almost since the day I got the replacement, and today 06/07/22 I turn it on got zero screen, unplugged it, and the screen is there with about 70 decibel burnt out cooling fan freaking out. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!! I could if bought a Samsung or LG 75 inch 4K for the price this thing set me back, and I wouldn’t of had to warranty one, and have dead second one. Things work great for a few months then practically self destruct. So now I have a 110” wall mount screen, 120” portable screen, wall/ceiling mount, and mobile adjustable stand that don’t do me now good for anything. Glad I bought a 65” LG C1 Black Friday 2021 for the bedroom it’s better gift games anyways.

> 3 dayThis was the projector Ive been waiting for . Got the Epson 8350 seven years ago, still works great. Replaced the bulb twice but now was the time to upgrade. It was very quiet located in the back of my movie room. Opened the HT3550 with much anticipation, mounted it on the ceiling but due to the limited throw rate, it had to be mounted right over my first row of theater chairs. I have a 92 screen. So disappointed with the loud fan noise overhead. Loved the excellent picture quality, especially the black level . Anyway thought I could live with the fan noise and went through normal setup but about one hour into the process the bulb shut down, projector turned off and the red TEMP or LAMP light came on. Called Benq tech support and was told that should not happen to a new HT3550. So I reluctantly returned the projector for a very quick exchange from Amazon. Thank you. Set up the second HT3550 and started watching movies. This time about two hours into the viewing, the bulb just turned off without the TEMP or LAMP light coming on. Green power light was still on. I let the projector cool down and when I turned it back on it worked fine. Watched two more movies that evening and everything went well. However, the next day, when I tried to turn on the projector, I could not get the HT3550 to turn on. Yes, the green light(s) were on so I knew I had power. Tried everything using the remote and the projector panel. Went through every troubleshooting suggestion I could find. Never could get the projector to turn on. Checked all wiring just to be sure. So I returned the replacement projector.
