A lot of spark

Great addition to my outdoor activities collection. Gives off hot sparks, real easy to use. Well worth the money

This is the best 1/2 ferro rod measured against two other brands (less expensive) 1/2 X 6 best sellers on Amazon. Yeah, this one is double the cost of the other two and its 1 shorter than the other two, but it does come with a striker which is nice. However, THIS ONE BLASTS SPARKS far easier than the other two I tested it against, no matter which striker I used. Whether it was the back of my knife, a standard striker, or the Corona (blade sharpener) striker, the überleben Kräftig makes the best sparks with the least effort.

Easy to use. Very lightweight. I bought one for my just in case bag!

Just what I wanted.

Have several different fire starters, this is by far the best. With the right striker it puts out gobs of molten metal/sparks. Even my 11 yo grandson is able to get large consistent sparks. The only issue I had was with the really crappy striker, but using the tool steel striker i made takes care of that problem. Will be buying a few more in the future. Highly recommendec!

Very easy to use. Lots of hot sparks. Use the back edge of your knife and press hard on the downward pass.
