10-06-2025This fire starter shoots sparks like a dragon and lights a fire quickly. I wish amazon could have six stars because I would definitely give it to this product. The striker is the best Ive seen and thats almost as important as the actual fire starter. Almost. Im sure as heck going to take this hiking, backpacking and camping so I have an easy fire. For me personally I dont mind the weight of it for hiking of backpacking but if it would be an issue the company has smaller fire starters. With standard shipping I received this in a week. It doesnt come with anything but the striker and bungee cord and of course the fire starter itself in a little bag. It is definitely worth the money and good for beginners or professionals. Thank you to the company for creating the perfect fire starter.

Greater than one weekLove it. When it arrived I just had to test it out. After a few scraps to get the finish off, it sparked up nicely and started me a fire.

> 3 dayNot much else to say, except to parrot what everyone else has said. It works just like you see in the video clips. The scraper they supply works incredibly well, the spine of my knife not as well but would still work in a pinch. Worth the money to me

07-06-2025This firestarter is ginormous in length and thickness. It would take a long long time to wear this puppy down, which is exactly why I like it. It is not too heavy or really bulky to keep in my survival pack. You will get a lot of hot strikes with this and it will stow away nicely. Honestly, what more could you ask for from a firestarter. My only critique is the outer coating gets on your hands, but hey, in an actual situation where you are using this thing, something tells me making a fire is a bit higher on the priority list than having black hands. I give it 5 stars and will buy this same one again after it gets used up in say, 30 years!
