> 3 dayThe video was grossly misleading. I scrape and scrape and am lucky to get one or two sparks.

> 3 dayThis thing is a beast! The thickness and the length is awesome for getting good contact with the striker. Great to have with you especially in wet environments where you will need to throw multiple strikes to get a fire going with damp kindling. If youre concerned about the weight, have this around the yard and start the backyard fires with it. Throws big angry sparks, this definitely performs as looks like it should.

> 3 dayThis is my second product that Ive bought from Modern Outdoor and I have to say I am very happy with my purchases. I bought my first fire starter from them like 6mo ago for my brother as a birthday gift. He brought it recently on a camping trip and told me he brings it backpacking all the time and people always compliment him on how cool it is. He loves it! I got super jealous so I had to buy myself one. We are super happy with them. I hope I can find some other friends to gift it to:)

> 3 dayYeah, brother, this is the one you want. If the shower of sparks this monster produces doesnt start your kindling, go home.

> 3 dayIts a ferro rod. Other reviews make it out like its the breath of an angry dragon, but its just a ferro rod that performs exactly the same as ferro rods of the same diameter that cost 1/4th as much. So, yes the product works as intended, but it doesnt exceed expectations by any measure. The striker is the same cheap striker that can be purchased in quantities for about $1.50 each, and the rod would cost about $4-5 elsewhere.

Greater than one weekAs with many other Uberleben items I have purchased, this proves to be of very high quality. The striker even has an edge sharp enough to throw plenty of sparks from the rod. Oddly, this is not the case with many other Ferro Rod/striker combinations from other makers.
