It is definitely a conversation starter. It lights up in different colors, and its wide enough to keep the rain off of you.

This umbrella is so cool. I was certain it would seem flimsy or poorly made, but as soon as I opened the box, I was put in my place. Ths umbrella canopy, mechanism, and light bar are very sturdy and I have confident that this will work for a long time. The light saber rod has a flashlight at the bottom of the pole which is a white light that is different than the color changing part. THe umbrella mechanism slides open easily and is held in place with pressure, rather than a snap. I am giving this to my son for Christmas. He is 6 years old. When my 11 year old daughter saw it, she wanted it for herself and was disappointed. Oh well, such is life. Very happy with this umbrella and Im sure my son will be as well.

This umbrella is a fun addition to a rainy day. The kids went crazy when they saw it. But the only negative comment I had was when I first closed it. It pinched my hand. You have to hold it with your fingers when closing the umbrella, not with your whole hand.

Ok, I admit it...Im a sci-fi geek. When I saw this I had to get it. The umbrella certainly came at the right time because the day after it arrived it was downpouring. This may seem somewhat gimmicky, but this is really a nice umbrella. It has a flashlight at the end of the handle and of course the cool light saber looking feature at the push of a button (which is also nice when youre walking in the dark), but this umbrella is also very sturdy and attractive. Also, a plus I wasnt expecting is that you can change the color of the lightsaber with multiple options, including red which is a good choice if you want a little light that doesnt mess with your vision at night. Umbrella is light weight, and I fear wind stripping the runner from the center ball string. No top spring to lock the canopy open and no ferrule to lock the canopy onto the center ball string. Scared to use it in any wind… Plan on using it more in the winter months as an umbrella and light while walking to and from work on semi dark. Wish the umbrella came in a larger canopy size and not just single child size. Slight issue with base of handle light touch spot. Very sensitive!

Fun umbrella! The only complaint is that the light on the base randomly comes on without me even tapping it. Once it comes on its almost impossible to turn off.

This is the most fantastic umbrella ever! Im very glad I bought it. Its very durable, even in high winds. It slides open very smoothly and doesnt catch when taking it down either. The carrying case is very helpful and allows you to have your hands free when not in use or on public transportation, with chance of leaving it behind, because you can just wear it over your shoulder or back. It can cycle through all of the colors constantly, or it can stay on just one. It has the options of Red, Green, Blue, Purple and White. Theres also a LED Flashlight on the bottom of the handle. It takes 3 AAA batteries and they seem to be lasting quite a bit. The lights are bright enough to see even during the day time. I was very surprised and pleased at the quality and durability. The carrying case and close strap display the logo of the brand, but its not emblazoned anywhere else. A great buy. :)

This was a very nice umbrella, I like the fact that it takes triple A batteries, because I do not have a problem replacing those. And The shoulder straps to carry the umbrella is another plus about this umbrella. And I like the fact that the lights you can set on different colors and different motions. A cook out that I went to where I had to use this beautiful umbrella,, someone asked me to do them a favor and order one for them, they said they would pay me up front for it. I let them know they can order it off of Amazon.

I love it for the lights.. it changes color and there is also a switch for it to go random colors. Its a sword umbrella for star Wars fan . quite sturdy. There is one feature i dislike because it drains the battery. The flash light at the bottom. once it moves, it turns on without you even knowing it. so the nect time you want to show off this Lightsaber Umbrella , you have no batteries. =(. But all in all a good purchase. You might want to cover the hole at the bottom that activates the flashlight to conserve your batteries.

I’ve bought like three or four of these now to make parasols for festivals and this one was by far the most annoying because of the touch-sensitive flashlight. But as someone else said just pull the handle apart and clip the wire, works for me since I have no desire to use the flashlight part anyway. I also don’t like how with these clear umbrellas, no matter what brand you get, the tips of the ribs are barely connected to the canopy. I had to reinforce those eight points with epoxy before I started to build the rest of the umbrella. Overall not bad we’ll see how it holds up coming up in a few weeks.
