I havent had these long so I cant speak to longevity, nor am I able to test air quality. That being said, I really like these units. I regret not picking up the larger one for my living room, but even the small one gets the job done. They are packaged well, no assembly at all (peel off a sticker and plug it in), with a simple one-button interface. They look good. They definitely are accurately kicking into high power/displaying poor air quality in that I can tell when I vape in the room and such they consistently turn up and flash the orange or red LED showing poor air quality. Some users may find them a little loud. When they are on high they are louder than my normal tower fans, but on low they are much quieter. As someone who regularly sleeps with fans or a/c, the noise level does not disturb me at all. If you are a very quiet sleeper, you may want to err on the side of caution with a larger size than your space demands- as the improved air maintenance should mean it kicking into high power less often. There may also be an option to leave it on low, but since it doesnt bother me I havent looked into it. All in all I would absolutely recommend these units to friends and family.

Theres like this high pitched electrical whine? I think its coming from the plug, but not sure. Its pretty noticeable, more than other electronic whines, and unfortunately with both the unit and outlet right by my bed and in a super small room (7x11), its rough and sometimes I just have to unplug it when its not smokey, which is unideal. I cant really return it since the smoke season here hasnt let up yet and Im asthmatic, but I would recommend against this for a bedroom or a room you spend a lot of time of high pitched electrical noises bother you.

I was impressed right away with how quiet it is but what impressed me most was how it efficiently cleaned up the air after having my patio door open a short while during this poor air quality from Canadas wild fires. Until then I had never seen the air quality indicator light display anything but blue. I wondered if it truly worked. Im so glad it has that feature...it cleaned the air for probably 30 min to go from red to yellow to the blue light again. Im a big fan from this day forward! I think Ill just leave it on all the time now

I like the simplicity and the style. But I don’t like the sound of the fan. It sounds unbalanced. It makes a slight ticking noise like a fan blade is hitting the case, or maybe something wrong with the bearings. This noise is constant, despite the fan speed. From the very first day of using it, I thought that noise was partly because it was brand new and would need time to break in. The noise has never gone away. I regret not contacting the company when I noticed it. If it didn’t have the clicking noise, it would be I impressively quiet. Maybe they’ve improved over the years. I recommend to contact the company if you hear the noise similar to an unbalanced fan. I also have a smaller one from the same company, and it also has a similar noise. But much softer. It’s a smaller model. You only really notice it on speed 2 or 3. If you’re okay with a little noise, I recommend using in the living room rather than a bedroom.

I thought broken... Touch didnt work. Tapping on it did. Bought second unit because first unit is working well and wanted another in another area. The con is the cost. There is not much to the design, while similar designs are running 1/3 the price. Only feature that those dont offer is the sensor in the same size package or the filters are higher costing. I got the 2nd one 30% off, and even then it was still at 2x the price. Its rather simple, a 3 speed fan that would be used for computer cooling (which should be a brushless type motor fan), a tap sensor switch and a sensor for monitoring the particulate level. The low auto setting allowing it to save energy based on particulate level is a plus tho. I love to buy the bigger one, but its about 200 dollars and the filters are also expensive. I think I could build it cheaper with a small speed control box fan, and filters. I suppose I am paying for the automagic sensor design. Being so sensitive to house dust, I can easily feel the difference when running it just an half hour in a 450 square feet room.

Had a laptop overheat and it was full of cat hair, so decided dusting alone was insufficient. Got the Blueair Pure 411 because it looked like it: would wrangle excess fur balls, quietly disappear into the background, and is “set it and forget it” automatic. It’s been deployed for duty in my living room/home-office for two months now and mostly forgotten about it. It looks “nice”, perhaps a bit larger than I was expecting, but don’t feel like I need to hide it. Most of the time can’t even hear it from ~2 meters away. Surprisingly, it doesn’t kick on when the robot vacuum is running. Guess the vacuum’s filter is just that good. It does go into overdrive whenever I make popcorn. This is loud enough that I give it a few taps to force it to silent mode. If you subscribe to new air filters through Blueair (sent periodically every X months) there’s a discount over buying them individually on Amazon. So, take that into consideration if looking at the total cost of ownership.

I didnt believe that home air purifiers would make much of a difference in my home. The AC is always on, there are 4 cats, several people, and someone is always entering or exiting the house. Dust and particles are always in the air. Ever since I got this Blue air filter, it has completely changed the air in my home. My eyes dont burn and itch at all whereas before, they did every day and I just attributed it to the 4 cats. Since I got this, Im a believer. I dont see dust in the air, there are no more little cat hairballs rolling around mimicking tumbleweeds in a desert. Im very happy with this and I got one for every bedroom in my home which has contributed to a better sleep, in my opinion. I thought this wouldnt make a difference. I was wrong. This is highly recommended.

Having an AQI sensor with an auto mode is pretty rare for purifiers at this price range. BlueAir is really cool for creating something inexpensive to be a set it and forget. I’ve tested and tried many different air purifiers and while I have a favorite already, this one really deserves its praises. For starters, I want to say this is definitely a bedroom-centric purifier and isn’t meant for larger open concept spaces (Opt for the 311 Auto for bigger area). The 411 auto is virtually silent on level 1. Level 2 is also pretty quiet but has a very gentle breeze sound (personally my fav for sleeping bc the white noise is calming). Level 3 definitely is a jump in sound but is good for brief quick air cleaning. Auto mode is pretty accurate with detection rate. I put out a candle that was relatively close proximity to the purifier and the sensor light turned red and gradually revved up to sift out the smoke. In another test, I blew out a candle that was further away from the purifier across the room. The sensor did take longer to begin revving up the fan (about 5 mins give or take) but nonetheless still managed to detect. I find dissipation of odors and smoke to be pretty decent. Today I was indecisive about outfits and tried on many diff things while looking in the mirror and I guess all the dust and lint kicked up and got the little guy revving up. All this to say, the AQI sensor and Auto Mode is great! Other positives: -low power consumption. It’s gonna be so inexpensive on your electricity bill. Only 10watts of power max! -stylish! The prefilters are very attractive I’m in a very modern minimalist space with black and whites and grays. The default pre filter it ships with fits perfectly! Diff decor? They have many different colors for you. I have to say, I doubted this thing for a bit because of its seemingly lacking power. It reminded me a lot of the Levoit Vista 200. However that model is awfully weak and not worth the money. I believe the reason why the Blue Pure 411 Auto works so efficiently well, is because it is 90% filter. There’s no plastic unibody or restrictive intake grills. Just fabric and filter. Because of this, less fan power is needed to pull in air through several layers of plastic holes and super dense materials. Pretty innovative and a true example of “less is more”. Highly recommend for those who want a stylish, efficient minimalist air purifier for a small space.

It has eliminated about 50% or more of previous headaches. I use it in the bedroom and it does not interrupt sleep, very quiet. It was purchased in September of 2020 and has constantly ran ever since!
