> 3 dayWe were searching for awhile for a great air purifier at a great price. We looked at the air doctor and compared it for awhile but went with this one and so glad we did! We noticed such differences in the air dust, lack of now! Im only needing to dust once a month and I dont have the cats furballs rolling like in the desert! Also, you know when you cook something like bacon and the smell lingers?! Not anymore! It takes that smell in and it comes out clean. Very very happy with this purchase and the replacement filters are only about $20 which is amazing, others were $50 or more! Everytime I vacuume, I go over the outside of the unit! It says every few months to machine wash the outside filter, its cloth material, and the inside filter depends on how much and often it needs to purify! Ill update once I find out! Highly recommend this product!

Greater than one weekThe unit blueair 311 seems to be working well. However I had to contact the Blueair customer support because getting pre-filter replacements is next to impossible. I was told things that were not true by their customer service representative. Told the blue 311 and 311 auto are the exact same size and so are the filters. That is NOT the case. Trying to get exact information was a game of half answers. I am not sure if these models are being discontinued in favor of the newer hi tec ones but trying to find filters and covers is nearly impossible. (They are the first step in the filtration process) I could not find them available even on the Blueair page. Representative said they were out of stock to try again in 2 weeks how do you not carry these for your customers? No covers for either model? I am now concerned about my purchase from them.

CAPTAIN OBVIOUS
> 3 dayhad it several days and alergies still a problem but definately not as bad. we have the 211+ model in the living room wich works great. prefilters on anything tend to restrict airflow so we will try it both ways. only time and testing will tell. stay tuned for update. UPDATE : Took the prefilter off and sneezing got less. its an air cleaner NOT an air purifier ! pre filters on anything tend to restrict airflow. pre filters are designed for those with pets. the prefilter on any purifier/cleaner/or other does restrict airflow. if you check out smoke tests on youtube NO air cleaner/purifier is tested with the prefilter on the machine. i tested the CFM before and after and YES the cfm rating drops by roughly 1/3 wich challenges any efficiency on any machine. the main filter is allready slightly restricted do to the true hepa installed and therefore, there is no need for a pre filter unless you have pets. as a smoker i suggest turning your ceiling fan on counter clockwise (medium) or put this filter on a stand or printer cart type of stand. the smoke is elevated and once it gets near this cleaner the top fan blows it up in the air and the ceiling fan sends it back down. remember : any device without uv light or ozone is NOT an air purifier....its an air cleaner.

09-06-2025I like the simplicity and the style. But I don’t like the sound of the fan. It sounds unbalanced. It makes a slight ticking noise like a fan blade is hitting the case, or maybe something wrong with the bearings. This noise is constant, despite the fan speed. From the very first day of using it, I thought that noise was partly because it was brand new and would need time to break in. The noise has never gone away. I regret not contacting the company when I noticed it. If it didn’t have the clicking noise, it would be I impressively quiet. Maybe they’ve improved over the years. I recommend to contact the company if you hear the noise similar to an unbalanced fan. I also have a smaller one from the same company, and it also has a similar noise. But much softer. It’s a smaller model. You only really notice it on speed 2 or 3. If you’re okay with a little noise, I recommend using in the living room rather than a bedroom.

> 3 dayHad a laptop overheat and it was full of cat hair, so decided dusting alone was insufficient. Got the Blueair Pure 411 because it looked like it: would wrangle excess fur balls, quietly disappear into the background, and is “set it and forget it” automatic. It’s been deployed for duty in my living room/home-office for two months now and mostly forgotten about it. It looks “nice”, perhaps a bit larger than I was expecting, but don’t feel like I need to hide it. Most of the time can’t even hear it from ~2 meters away. Surprisingly, it doesn’t kick on when the robot vacuum is running. Guess the vacuum’s filter is just that good. It does go into overdrive whenever I make popcorn. This is loud enough that I give it a few taps to force it to silent mode. If you subscribe to new air filters through Blueair (sent periodically every X months) there’s a discount over buying them individually on Amazon. So, take that into consideration if looking at the total cost of ownership.

> 3 dayI bought this unit for my bedroom. I have a 2700 square foot home, large rooms and high ceilings. Room ratings are never large enough on purifiers, unless you have enough money to burn. My bedroom is roughly 225sq ft and I also have a large attached bath and walk-in closet... this unit works beautifully. The air was noticeably cleaner in minutes. On night mode...I live in a rural area, so there is no ambient sound to obscure it. Even sitting on my nightstand next to my head, I still cant hear it. Amazingly quiet mode. Ive gone through other purifiers that were less expensive than this one, but I can tell already this is much better quality. I wanted to give this a test run with the smaller unit before investing in the large one...I decided to purchase the larger unit for the main living area. This is a great unit. I will try to update after a few months of use, after having to replace the filter media, etc.

> 3 dayI purchased 2 different air purifiers one for my bedroom and one for my living room. I continued to notice that the bedroom still smelled like sleeping humans so I switched the 2air purifiers around. OMG what a difference. I’m a believer. I went to the grocery store and let it run, when I got home and walked in the bedroom I was so impressed. Highly recommend. I love this thing. I love fresh air and now my bedroom doesn’t smell like a closet! ❤️
