> 3 dayThis does a great job of removing odors from my home. It is not bulky and will purify an entire floor

> 3 dayIt’s an ok product but after using it for a few weeks I’m not sure it’s doing much good. I have it in my man cave to remove allergens from the air. I think it gets most. I have a 700 square foot area and I think I should have bought a larger model. I like that if it detects stuff in the air, it increases air flow on its own and then slows as it gets it captured. It is quiet and not detectable unless it kicks in high mode.

> 3 dayThis convenient little air purifier is quiet and shows you the air quality in your room. I wasn’t sure how I would know whether it was really doing anything or not, until I came home one afternoon and I saw the red light on the machine. The sound of the purifier was also louder. Red means air quality is poor. Later that evening a fog developed in that room due to an air conditioning leak! The device detected the compromised air quality before the AC started visibly leaking. Our AC guy told us the gas the AC leaks is not good for anyone. We tested the machine in other parts of our house where air was ok and stayed there until the room was aired out/cleaned by the machine. Even our AC guy was impressed that this device picked up that subtle change before it became obvious.

08-06-2025UPDATE: I put this air purifier in the garage, and it is noticeably reducing the musty smell, so I am happy to have it, even though I found it unusable within the house. Earlier review: I used my BLUEAIR 311 in a 9x11 bedroom for four nights and awoke with progressively worse headaches each morning, until I realized it must be the air purifier and turned if off. No more headaches. So, I moved it to my family room, thinking it was better suited to a larger room. I dont spend much time in that room, but there is airflow to the rest of the house. A couple weeks later, I wondered if the eye redness and itchiness I was experiencing could be due to the air filter. Turned it off. No more eye redness and irritation. BTW, I dont have allergies. I bought this for house guests who are allergic to my cats, but thought Id try it in my own room. This was an expensive machine that I cant even donate or give away in good conscience, knowing the health effects it could have.

> 3 dayI bought this in preparation for California wild fire season. Its not a matter of if, sadly it is just down to when it will go down. So I wanted to get ahead of ut and be as prepared as possible. I got my first test to see if this machine could effectively remove smoke and clean the air of a ~2,000 sg. ft. home. Let me tell you, it was a small local fire that honestly I hadnt realized was happening and after a minute or so I looked and realized the purifier had kicked on (it is quiet and blends in like a nice white noise) when I saw the light had changed colors to red. I asked my husband what the red light meant and we the realized it smelled like smoke outside. We closed all the windows, and withing 3-5 minutes the living room (where we were sitting and our largest open room) no longer smelled like smoke. After maybe 10 minutes I went to the other side of the house to our spare bedroom where we had windows open and it too was free and clear of smoke smell. This is a game changer for us. We had friends who bought another device (its square and a different brand) that I had been looking at buying. I landed on Blueair after reading reviews, doing my due diligence, and determining the square footage it was supposed to work best with suited my housing better. Weve already started talking about getting a smaller unit for our bedroom, mostly because we have a gassy cat that will clear a room when we are trying to sleep. Its actually kind of brutal and amazing on what a small cat can produce.

I like it
Greater than one weekWe have two dogs that shed, so this runs on auto all night long. My sinuses discernibly better.

> 3 dayTheres like this high pitched electrical whine? I think its coming from the plug, but not sure. Its pretty noticeable, more than other electronic whines, and unfortunately with both the unit and outlet right by my bed and in a super small room (7x11), its rough and sometimes I just have to unplug it when its not smokey, which is unideal. I cant really return it since the smoke season here hasnt let up yet and Im asthmatic, but I would recommend against this for a bedroom or a room you spend a lot of time of high pitched electrical noises bother you.

08-06-2025I often have to hold my hand over the top to feel the air movement to know that it is running. But, even though this is in our family room, if the bacon gets burned the slightest in the kitchen, you can hear this ramp up the fan until the air is clear, so we know the air quality sensor does work. We purchased this model because when I researched the availability of filters for some of the other models, they were all listed as out of stock, backorders, or just unavailable. This model seems pretty standard so you can get filters from third parties if you like. It really is quiet!
