This was not what I was expecting. I am a flight student at Embr-Riddle. The headset makes a terrible noise when coming in for a landing. The sound is so bad I have to take them off. Has anyone else had these issues?

This is my first active noise cancelling head set. Because its battery operated I was even able to try it at home. Pretty impressed by how much it cancels out. Took it up in a Piper Warrior II, 160HP. I thought it might cancel out too much. The noise reduction is really good. Good enough that I can very comfortably keep the storm window open while taxiing but I can still hear the engine perfectly good enough to do the run up and listen for subtle RPM changes. Also tested the stall warning horn and I could hear that too without issues. So it just cancels all the extra loud noises, cleans everything up, while letting you hear the important stuff. Because of this noise reduction, its easier to understand ATC and traffic. I connect the bluetooth to ForeFlight so I can hear Timers, Hazard Advisor, ADSB Alerts, and so much more. Great settings to prioritize audio sources, mix, mute, etc. Most of the parts are replaceable so no need to buy an entire headset when something breaks. Muffs are super comfortable. Another pilot told me he uses the bluetooth to use his phone to get his clearances. The power LED lets you know when the batteries are getting low. The noise cancelling can be turned off while the headsets main dual plug functions like Comms and Intercom continue working.

Great headset. Bose quality all the way. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Will be ordering another set for the right seat.

This product doesnt need a review. Bose still makes the best aviation headsets in the space.

They isolate sound very well and feel comfy. Not much more to be said for the common pilot

I’ve using them for around 30hrs on 737 NG and MAX. I am very pleased with how light comfortable they are.

Everyone knows the A20, and it doesnt disappoint. Completely changed the quality of life flying small piston airplanes.

The Bose A30 Aviation Headset is best utilized where noise is pervasive, comfort is required and communication is critical. The Bose A30 is Bose’s highest-performing, full-featured around-ear active noise cancelling aviation headset to date. With 20% less clamping force than the Bose A20 and redistributed weight for superior on-head stability, the comfort of the A30 rises to the top among over-the-ear form factors. The Bose A30 Aviation Headset with Bluetooth further improves upon the comfort and functionality of the Bose A20 with a new acoustic design and a fully digital active noise reduction (ANR) system. As the first-ever around-ear aviation headset with three modes of user selectable noise cancellation, the Bose A30 enables pilots to control the noise they hear in the cockpit. Plus, the Bose A30’s optional Bluetooth interface and tap control for talk-through communication offer versatility for pilots across all aircraft. This pilot headset also features a toolless, side swappable boom mic and down cable, and its improved carry case has internal zippered storage and padded sides for extra protection.
