> 3 dayI was on the fence about upgrading from David Clark but now I realize I shouldve done this a long time ago. I was initially saying that you should really invest in them if your going for commercial but honestly the amount of clarity it gives you with ATC is so valuable. Forget the comfortableness and the noise cancellation (which is amazing in itself) how about you catching an ATC transmission because you were able to hear them clearly? The bluetooth is a nice addition but as a student I wont be using it anytime soon. If you are going for commercial, save up the money and just buy them...yesterday lol. If you doing this as a hobby, at the end of the day I still recommend them. Its crazy worth it even though the price is up there.

07-06-2025Having an immense amount of noise cancellation reveals a new flying experience to a pilot, especially when your flying a prop plane. At times I don’t even notice the drone of the motor. I do however wish that the battery was rechargeable, however when this is your only complaint I’d say it’s a awesome buy.

> 3 dayI’m flying 747’s which are quite noisy and this headset is very good for eliminating a lot of the background noise. It also has very good tonal quality and a good clean sound which works wonders when trying to copy clearances from Indian ATC. The Bluetooth is excellent and connects reliably every time. My only complaint is just like every other headset out there it feels like my head is in a vice after several hours. I will say this if you are on the fence about spending the extra bucks for the Bluetooth just do it! It’s great when using your phone and other things. One of the reasons I did buy this was amazon let me put it on a 5 month plan which took the sting out of purchasing it. Hats off to Amazon for that!!!

> 3 dayLooks like someone bought this and returned it. The headset was in poor condition and didnt work as expected. The shipping label also stated from returns. I fear it may have been a refurbished item. For the price I paid. Id expect a new one.. very disappointed. I had high Hopes. Will try again from Bose itself.

> 3 dayI am an airline pilot and I was in need of a solid headset. Now Ive tried these before when I was flying smaller stuff and liked them then, however, I owned a pair of David Clarks. I know DCs make a model that has noise cancellation and I know some others here have commented on them. But just from my own personal experience you get what you pay for from these Bose headsets. I flew around a few months with my standard DCs but when passengers and ground crew are coming in and out of the plane and you are trying to pick up ATIS and clearance or talk to ramp, whatever, the noise can become a clutter. With the noise cancellation it really cleans everything up. When we fly into Mexico and you can hardly understand the controllers, this headset just clears up the communication barrier just enough so you dont have to keep saying huh?...….. fact is, I dropped the $1100 on these because you get what you pay for. A professional headset for the professional pilot. Hope, this review helps with some of the people who are back and forth on the decision.
