> 3 dayMy original SONY MDR-7506 headphone earpads were breaking apart. They would leave little black pieces of fake leather in my hair, on my face, and all over my workspace.

> 3 dayI use my Sony MDR V6 headphones as studio monitors. After installing the Brainwavz ear pads I now know why all my high frequency detail in music files played too hot on my car system and other devices. The old pads allowed in too much outside noise like my box fan to where I couldnt balance the loudness of these frequencies due to the fact I could barely hear them. Now I can hear even more detail and 3D like presence.

> 3 dayGreat replacement for the stock pads. I’d even go so far as to call them an upgrade. My stock pads had been shedding faux leather flakes and foam was starting to fall out so I figured it was time to replace them. To my surprise, these replacements were more comfortable than the originals and gave a good deal more sound isolation! Installation wasn’t a breeze but took about 5 mins total. I’d recommend these to anyone who wants better pads and I’d buy them again if the need ever arises.

> 3 dayWork great. Maybe only very slightly less noise reduction than the original ear pads (or maybe its all in my head)...but I was REALLY trying to notice. They seem like they will hold up to wear better than the originals, though. Better than having to buy a new pair of 7506s.

> 3 dayThey fit and they feel soft. I cant tell how soft because my ear is sore from wearing headphones and a headlamp with a strap that gets over an ear for way too many hours a day. They have the proper cushion. I dont have a ton of experience putting these on and looked at a video online which was very helpful. The plastic tool for these might be helpful, but not essential. Good price and they look great.

> 3 dayThe original earpads that came with my Sony MDR-V6 were awful. After about 4 years of using the headphones only very rarely, I noticed that the glossy surface of the earpads was flaking off, exposing the cheap foam underneath. I assumed Id probably have to buy new headphones but I thought Id find out what it would cost to replace the pads, and Sony parts were ridiculously expensive. These Brainwavz pads looked okay and were a lot cheaper. Ive now fitted them and they are certainly well made and comfortable. I probably would have struggled to fit them if I hadnt found an online video explaining that you should turn them inside out first, then fit them, then tuck the skirt inside the recess by using a business card or credit card. Took about a minute. Im delighted that Ive saved some money and given a new lease of life to headphones that were rated very highly and are now discontinued. I assumed that the original pads were actually leather - how wrong I was. They look like leather. Many of these replacement pads look as if they are leather but they are actually fake leather and theres no harm in that (it might even be better than real leather, which would absorb moisure and stain), so long as they dont crumble away. So these arent real leather, but I like them.
