THESE ARE NOW IN THE TRASH WHERE THEY BELONG! Ive wasted more time on trying to get the Broadlink app and Alexa to discover these. I finally got them to find one, and within an hour it Alexa said it was unresponsive and remains that way. Tried 2 more but could not get them to be recognized. I have a background in computer system and have several other brands of plugs (along with numerous Echo devices) that I have connected to Alexa. Buy this if you enjoy being frustrated by devices that dont do what the manufacturer says it will.

I have set up 3 of these, and thankfully, I still had the instructions for the 3rd one, because it is NOT straightforward nor simple...and I am a techie!! If I ever needed to set these up and did not have the instructions, it would be impossible. Physically, they are a bit large and while you *can* plug them in with something else in the other side of a duplex outlet, you will have an issue if the other thing is more than a simple plug.

These worked ok for a while. I switched internet service providers from century link to xfinity. I got the new xfi router. These unfortunately don’t work with the xFi router because it combines all the band - 2.4GHz 5GHz etc. now they are useless.

Cheap and nice sized. Takes up only one outlet. Works with Alexa.

Im in awe at how easy this was to set up, given the depressing amount of time Ive spent fussing with WeMo plugs. Exactly as the instructions say: 1) plug in 2) connect to the Broadlink SSID 3) Wait for the system to tell you to sign in to broadlink 4) Input your real SSID & password, also email and name your plug 5) activation email arrived in 30 seconds 5) Open Google Home app, add device, select NoAPP 6) Wait for 7-digit email code and input Thats it. No downloading apps. No passwords. Even the EULA was short enough to read.

It was a little complicated to set up but once I did it works fine. You must load the BroadLink app to schedule the plug. It works great with an echo dot.

What i liked the most, was that it doesnt take up so much space on the wall outlet. The other similar versions are usually a little bigger and makes the second outlet difficult to use with another 3 prong device. I think the reset button being on the front, is much more handier for reconfiguration and evaluating the state of the device. I do worry with the outlet being on the side of the wall plug is it could put strain on it and weaken the outlet over time. However, with that said the connection felt very secure, so that is just a concern, nothing factual. Configuration, is about as easy as the app variants, you still have to go through a process, but the process is simple and makes sense.. who are you, what you want to call it, and what network you want it on.

I used 6 of these smart plugs for my Christmas lights inside and outside my house. All the plugs were wirelessly connected to Alexa so all I had to do to turn on/off all the lights was to give the command one time. It really made the process easier!

Great once you can figure out how to configure it! They should have a scan option. I finally chatted with their customer service and they did help after several attempts. Works great with Alexa once you connect it! They need to include better directions with this product or make it easier.
