> 24 hourWell built battery, allows easier handling of radio with extended grip. Battery virtually lasts for days when going out for weekend ventures. Great battery to have in your B.O.B / radio kit.

> 24 hourI am not sure if this battery is supposed to have a rubber plug/grommet for the hole in which you would plug the charging cable, when not in use.....but it did not come with one. Since these radios are usually used in outdoor and often rugged environments, it seems that protection from the elements would have been a consideration. I really wanted to give this product a great review, but because of the either missing or not previously thought of rubber plug for the charging port, I just can’t.

> 24 hourWorks well, you need to pre-bend the contacts down slightly to keep from crushing them when inserting the batteries. Otherwise it works well.

> 24 hourNeeded to replace a couple of batteries on my radios and these are factory fresh and excellent. Very simple to install and charge. These hold the charge very well and i get plenty of talk time out of these. Since my radios are of the same brand they fit very well and look great

> 24 hourThe originally battery might last a day on the trails, but if I was out there for more than that, I had no way to charge up the battery. This battery has gotten me through a whole weekend, AND with the usb charging cable, I can charge while Im on the trial if I need to! No more worrying about the radio anymore!

> 24 hourI plan on using the rechargeable battery that comes with the radio most of the time. But I like the idea of having back up power just in case. The first thing I did when the AA battery adapter pack arrived was try it out to make sure it works as promised, and it did. The nice thing about AA batteries is that they are widely available. Where as the proprietary battery that comes with radio has a limited life span. Also like the fact that the AA pack can use either alkaline or nickel metal hydride batteries, and come with provisions that allow you to use either voltage type battery.

> 24 hourThis did not work initially. There is not info on which position should contain the dummy battery. I guessed it did not matter and that was true. One of the contact points for the battery was bent out of position, so the unit did not work. When I figured it out and bent it back, everything worked. It appears to be made of cheap plastic. Not sure how long it will hold up.

> 24 hourI got this as a Birthday present from a wish list of Ham radio equipment. The first thing about this battery is you dont need a base charger to add juice to the battery. You just need the power adapter sold separately great for traveling or hiking with a roll out solar panel sold separately. The traditional way to get this battery up to full capacity is to fully charge it on the base recommended to charge without it being attached to the Radio. Once charged attach to radioand turn on and press an hold number 0 and the voltage should be 8.3 - 8.4v. Use the radio to bring the battery down to about 7.4v and do a full charge cycle about 5 times and the battery will last longer and have a great shelf life. My original battery lasted for 5 years using the recommended charge/discharge mentioned above. Also its light and not bulky perfect fit for inside jacket pockets.

> 24 hourLong battery life. The built-in charging port is a great feature, since I dont have to bring the whole charging cradle along.
