> 3 dayHow to buy separate charging cord to charge it. Do not know if it works since it does not sit properly into my radio

> 3 dayThis is an excellent addition to your Baofeng radio. It truly does extend your talk time exponentially. I like that I can charge it by USB Cable, or charging dock (reason for that is because when you have multiple of these batteries for doing ARES stuff you want plenty of batteries, and you may need to charge more than one at a time). My one suggestion for an upgrade would be to add a tethered plug of some kind, for plugging up the USB charging hole on the side. The reason a plug would be a good upgrade is two fold: 1. if youre outdoors in a dusty or dirty environment, dust, dirt, and other debris can get trapped in the charging hole rendering it useless. 2. if youre outdoors and its raining very lightly or misting, that moisture can get trapped in the charging hole which in turn could lead to corrosion or a shorted out battery (and possibly radio too if the short is strong enough). Other than that suggestion for an upgrade, I would say this is a solid battery to add to your setup. I very much like them.

> 3 dayNot much to say, it powered my radio just fine off the 12V socket and I was able to save my battery for when I arrived at my destination

> 3 dayThe product arrived very well packaged, charged the battery and it has been powering my UV-5R just fine. In fact I ran the radio for about 6 hours and no issues at all, plenty of charge left. Will be buying another in the near future.

Greater than one weekFirst, it works as expected in that it replaces your battery (it is a battery eliminator not a charger) and powers your radio from a 12 volt accessory socket. A couple poor design features to be aware of though: The cord is a coiled cord, but the coils are very stiff. At rest it is about 2 feet long, but if you try to stretch it out, by the time you get to three feet it is pulling out of the car socket. I would say that for most people, they would have a lot of trouble talking on the radio with that limitation combined with the fact that at that length you are playing tug of war if it stays plugged in. Also the cord comes out of the bottom of the battery adapter, which means you cannot stand your radio up. Not a concern for car use but in emergency use where you might have to be on 12 volt power indoors, you cannot stand up your radio. This means your antenna is operating at well below maximum efficiency. It seems that just a little forethought and beta testing of this product would have made it a MUCH better product with little or no change to cost.

> 3 daySo far so good. Only had for a week or so. I should have read the description better I thought it was two batteries but it was only one. The other thing I didn’t like is it does not come with a charging cable, and not like most people have the right one just sitting around. So I will have to buy one separate.

> 3 dayThis extended battery has worked great and the length is more ergonomic than the standard battery. Ive notice the battery stands more fily when setting it down and still fits all Bofeng holders Ive purchased

> 3 dayThese fit snugly in the battery bay of the Baofeng, and give the unit a little extra heft, and make it easier to hold, especially in a gloved hand. The unit operates almost twice as long as with the stock battery, perhaps longer in warm weather. Mine was tested in temps around 20 degrees. A worthwhile investment!
