Greater than one weekI have this as the upgrade over the stock battery for the BF-F8HP. The stock only lasted me a couple hours, while this battery has lasted me for two days of continued use. Would highly recommend getting a charger, as the external charging while using is a great boon

> 3 dayWorks just fine but didnt exactly fit the radio. Theres a thin plastic lip that has to be trimmed off along the bottom of the cavity where the radio fits in that has to be trimmed off. Why they couldnt just make it to fit the radio to begin with I dont know. Once this is trimmed off, it fits perfectly.

> 3 dayNot much to say, it powered my radio just fine off the 12V socket and I was able to save my battery for when I arrived at my destination

> 3 dayThis is a great backup that uses AA type alkaline batteries for powering your radio. As a ham that never knows what situation I might be facing for an emergency, this is very useful. I, and most people have a cache of AA batteries that I keep all of the time. This means if I drain my rechargeable batteries, this can be deployed with some fresh AA batteries to keep me on the air.

> 3 dayI received my battery and noticed the retail packaging that it came in was kinda off. So I opened it and found that it was leaking from the connectors on the back where the charging stand connects to it. Looks like maybe it got wet somewhere at some point prior to being shipped to me. So I requested an exchange and the second one I got was perfect. Worked right out of the box and fit the radio perfectly as expected.

> 3 dayAs previous reviewers have stated, the top center battery terminal can easily come loose, touch another terminal and short out the pack. *I have not experienced this.* Although I have taken the precaution advised and glued the top center battery terminal in place so that it does not wiggle free. See photos. After this quick fix, it works safely and as expected. With 6x NiMH the battery life is considerably longer (2-3 times) than the 1100 mAhr Li-ion supplied with the Baofeng UV-5R. Another gripe about this product is how loose the snap mechanism is securing clam shell design together. I can pull the two apart pretty easily without hitting the release button. And also... please please please use the included dummy battery when using alkaline (1.5V) AA batteries!! If 6 alkalines are used, the radio will intentionally not work due to the higher total voltage being outside the operating range. Many people have given this product bad reviews because they didnt read.

> 3 dayItem shows two of the product but you only get one it needs to be listed better and needs a picture that shows only one so you dont expect two. Other than that great product works great.
