> 3 dayWorks very well but the controls are not as intuitive as Id like. I would have preferred a knob for temperature adjustment.

> 3 dayAbsolutely among the best tools that I have purchased. Heats up quick and holds temperature. The presets helped me achieve a new level of quality in my leaded glass work.

> 3 dayA genuine Hakko product. One of the best soldering stations available. Should last a long time. Having a quality soldering station makes the job easier.

> 3 dayAwesome product, heats up SUPER FAST and maintains temperature nicely. Changing the temp is not quite as convenient/easy as a simple analog dial like the old version, but the real-time digital temp readout makes up for that. Im sure once I get my commonly used temps figured out Ill just set them in as the presets and use preset-mode for quick temp switching instead.

> 3 dayI think I got a knock off. It heats soldering points so slowly even on the highest setting. Next to a cheap Weller, this thing is borderline unusable. Too late to return :/

> 3 dayOnce you figure out the preset mode and adjust your presets, its smooth sailing from there. Bought this for hobby purposes more than professional use. Very happy with the product and seems like everything is high quality. Maybe I could have spent $50 less and been just as happy with a knock-off but I struggle with soldering so I wanted to be sure I had a high quality iron that I couldnt blame. 1.6mm chisel tip is a treat after working with pointy conical tips since my dad showed me how to solder when I was 12. Newbie at soldering? Get a good iron, good solder (63/37 with 2% flux), good solder wick, and some rosin flux paste or pen. The right tools are SOOO important with soldering.
