Greater than one weekReally happy with this iron for the price. Much better than the old $40 weller I was using in my home lab. Heats up quickly and is pretty versatile. My only complaint is it looks like I bought it at Toys R Us.

Greater than one weekGreat iron! heats up amazingly fast! Nice holder and sponge/wire material included! For the price you definitely cannot beat it. I would recommend a bigger tip for soldering any thing under 16 gauge wire

> 3 dayGoing from a soldering pen from RadioShack to this was a tremendous step, but it was well worth the price. Going from a 5 minute heating cycle to 15 seconds has made every job far easier. Great quality and construction. Tips and heating elements are easy to change. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayStill learning to use mine. I use it on 23 to 16 gauge wire. Struggles a little with the 16 gauge but still is able to solder them. Iron is well insulated and didnt even get warm, which is why I bought it. Would buy again.

Greater than one weekThis iron is fantastic!! Im using it primarily for my Electrical Engineering course labs. Ive used it briefly tinkering around, but recently have been putting some good hours on it working on protoboards. I have used several other options, Ive owned a little 25 watt Weller iron, as well as a cheaper full soldering station previously. This iron is much better than anything else ive used. the 70W system heats up very quickly, and it holds very well. The inclusion of the sponge as well as the brass tip cleaner in the base of the unit is nice. The bundle I purchased also came with the CHP170 flush-cut wire snips. These also are great quality.
