Greater than one weekUpgrade from a small 3 liter tanked compressor to reduce noise. Using for airbrushing. Having a big tank has cut down own the motor running constantly. The motor is quiet for an air compressor. Not as quite as the one I was using before, but not too loud either. Build quality is solid. We will see how it stands the test of time.

> 3 dayLoved that the machine is so light weight & quit. I run it with a 3500 quite inverter Predetor Generator. Its even quieter than that. Couldnt believe it ,the 1st time I ran it. Highly Recommend for all uses. I use mine for Moblie Detailing

> 3 dayBeen wanting a quiet compressor for years. My old one was annoying to say the least. This one is quiet and holds air the best of any compressor I’ve owned. It small but for my needs quite adequate. Paid a little extra for the aluminum version. No regrets.

12-06-2025I am a general contractor and have had allot of compressors, i purchased this compressor to install in my work van and run it on a 3000 watt inverter it does great it works properly and does not draw a ton of power. I’m pleased with the product, its quite and performs as should!!! I had a dewalt similar compressor and it would not run of my inverter 14 amps. No ratings on maneuverability and light weight because it will never leave its place in my van.

> 3 dayI just purchased a new decibel meter from Amazon to test some of my power equipment noise levels. When I got my new California air compressor I was anxious to see how close to the 60 decibels it actually was. Well upon first running the compressor I noticed lots of rattling noise coming from it, and when I used the meter is was registering it at around 84 decibels from about 8 ft away - this is where i placed it in my work shop. Bottom line it is not anywhere near 60 decibels. ( I wish it was) But you still need hearing protection when it it running.

> 3 dayIve used this compressor a good bit now, it works very well and is very quiet compared to any regular compressor. It keeps up pretty well when I blow off my zero turn mower, once you let it build up pressure. Its pretty light also compared to its louder counterparts. Looks like pretty decent quality, Im glad I bought it.

> 3 dayQUIET! Makes less noise than air tools, like 2 hands clapping. FAST! 8-gallon tank fills in about 2 minutes. LIGHTWEIGHT! Easily pulled aluminum unit from box with one hand. LOOKS GOOD! Nice silver paint. Lower profile than v-twin motors. NO OIL! Less mess & headaches. Teflon-coated pistons & cylinders reduce friction & sound. EASY! Assembly a breeze. Drain lever is visible at side, & quicker to open than threaded plug. Use on tires, lug nuts for brake jobs, clean dust, pressurize smoke to test vacuum leaks or remove stains. Solvent on 1 side & air on the other, works like a charm. This is a game-changer, by far the best Ive ever seen.

12-06-2025I got this to blow out my sprinklers and was not worried as much about the noise as I wanted the aluminum frame so it would be light enough to maneuver. It worked great in that regards but I was amazed at how quiet this thing really was. I could run it in the house with some air tools if I needed without losing my hearing. Absolutely amazing compared to what I have used before.

> 3 daySo if your buying this for a air brush this review will help out,, I went from a harbor freight oil less air compressor to this California air compressor. My harbor freight air compressor ran all the time and was very noisy. This air compress isnt silent but its allot less noisy then my H/F compressor and the bonus is once it reaches 100 psi it shuts off and that is allot of air brush time before it calls for air again. its a 8 gal air tank. One thing this compressor is missing is a water trap I installed one and glad I did because even though there is a water bleed valve on the bottom it still puts a little water in the air its sending to the air brush so install a water trap. Also I wish it would have had fitting for a air brush it doesnt come with any and that is a task of getting the right fitting to make it adapt to a air brush. The front rubber foot needs to be improved to a better design. also I am pretty sure it can be made quieter by installing a better front foot on the compressor. Its definitely worth the money, but you can tell its china made, the off and on switch seems very cheap. Over all I am happy with the purchase. I personally dont think it could run air tools for like a mechanic. This is perfect for air brushing. I bought the aluminum tank and seems of good quality. probably the cheapest air compressor you can buy with a large air storage tank you can buy for air brushing.
