> 3 dayThis really meets the claim. It is light and quiet. Tank size is kind of small but the refresh rate is fast. It is so nice to have the compressor comeonand not have to leave the building or even raise your voice.

> 3 dayIve been using a friends single tank unit for a while, and the noise level compared to the average pancake is tiny. Is it a dentist office unit? Nope, louder than that, but what do you want for under two bills for the steel tank version. I just ordered one for myself to replace my home made 8 gal oil compressor, simply because that one has no guard, and although quiet, way louder than this unit. For those saying they are running out of air - Please note it _IS_ only rated for 2.1 CFM. The bigger tanks only really help on intermittent use. If you draw a LOT for a few seconds or so, the dual tanks help, but if it is draw a lot, pause for only a few seconds, draw a lot, you really WILL need a bigger compressor (no matter who makes it) CAT does sell 1.5 and 2HP versions with CFM ratings up around 5, but of course, they cost more, and draw more current (the 2HP is at 14amps peak, so figure a dedicated outlet) I figure Ill put the big tank unit in the garage, for when I need more CFM, and just go from there (It has a pump for a 8HP compressor slowed way down)

> 3 dayFirst off, this thing is surprisingly quiet. Everything works great and practically no leakage. After 1 week at full pressure, there was only 1.5lb of pressure loss. There was a small amount of damage which I am not concerned about. You can run this in the house and not disturb anyone. I would recommend an auxiliary air tank though. I used the tank from the dead 20 gallon compressor this unit is replacing. Less than $8 in parts and its a fully functional tank. I spoke with California Air Tools and they told me that this is a 70/30 motor and that I shouldnt run the compressor for more than an hour at a time so the 4 minutes it takes to fill the total 24.6 gallons doesnt worry me. Sure, it takes a little longer to get 20 gallons of air, but my ears arent bleeding while the compressor is running.

> 3 dayBought this for general home repairs and tasks. It runs much quieter, you really can be in the same room and have a normal volume conversation while it is running. Really like the aluminum tanks, as it makes the unit lighter. If you are looking for a home compressor that fills fast and is quiet, put this on the short list

> 3 dayThis compressor is VERY quiet, but not 60dB. My wife and I had a conversation while it was filling, but we definitely had to raise our voices. A regular conversation is around 70dB. Other than that the quality control is pretty poor. The welds on the tank of the compressor I received looked questionable which is concerning considering the amount of pressure in the tank. The panel was pretty flimsy as well. It flexed more than Im comfortable with. The grommet that holds the main power cable in place was loose upon delivery. Just not quite the quality Id expect from a $200 compressor.

> 3 dayWe are extremely pleased with this purchase. It is so quiet that we can hear each other talk when the compressor is running, unlike our previous one. We highly recommend it.

> 3 dayWhat a great compressor. Its very quiet and has a small footprint. Not all that heavy either - Im able to lift and move around garage pretty easily.

> 3 daySignificantly quieter than most other compressors but still not silent. I put a moving blanket over it and that made it even quieter. Works very well.
