> 3 dayI used to have pancake compressor for snuba off my dock. Hated to use it because of the noise it produced. The only good thing a pancake compressors does is let you know its recharging the tank from the racket it made. This one is dead quiet so doesnt piss off the neighbors. Thats a good thing.

> 3 dayI was looking for a quiet compressor. I have been using a porter cable pancake unit. When that thing comes on babies cry and ear drums bleed. I was tired of the noise. The entire reason in purchased this unit was it clam to be quiet. I am shocked. Totally shocked. The noise from this is minimal. It is far from ear piercing. I would classify this as quiet. It is not hype and it lives up to its marketing. I also upgraded to the aluminum tanks. I am glad I did. I would imagine the steel tanks would add weight and take my joy of use away. Spend the extra money on aluminum. Overall—I am thrilled with my purchase. Time will tell how it holds up. Very happy.

> 3 dayWe bought this compressor to replace a truly super quiet AMS compressor that is not oil free and pumped a lot of oil. I suspect we burned a seal in the AMS from the get-go because it didnt have enough capacity to close an automatic drain valve on a piece of equipment and ran for hours when it only has a 15 minute on 15 minute off duty cycle - it was so quiet we didnt hear it running in our back dungeon room where we kept the typical cheap compressors to reduce the deafening noise. I dont want to trash the AMS, it is a very nice unit but can have this problem. While not as incredibly quiet as the AMS, this one is so much quieter than the usual cheap compressors that we can keep it in the work area without it being a distraction and doesnt need to be relegated to the back dungeon. It makes it easy to drain and track problems if it is cycling too often, and has enough more capacity that it will close the (small) auto drain valve at startup. We have only had it for 3 weeks, but so far works nicely.

> 3 dayThis is a big improvement over the usual oil-less compressors available locally. The aluminum tanks reduce weight and allow for easy transport. It has become more difficult over the years to find a gas station that has a working air pump. Most provide hot air in the form of various excuses.

> 3 dayI prefer this to my older Porter Cable compressor but I dont like being taken for a ride. This is made in China. It is quieter than my Porter Cable but is far from Ultra Quiet. Durability still unknown. Instructions fair to poor; they tell you for instance to release pressure using the safety release valve but nowhere in the instruction manual does it say where or what the safety release valve is. It is lighter than my older steel compressor, which is a big help. I bought this and a Hitachi brad nailer together. They work well together, but the Hitachi nailer has superb instructions, whereas compressor has poor instructions. It matters.

> 3 dayThis compressor is awesome, when they said it was quiet I sort of said to myself, yea right, but when I flipped that switch, I was in awe, you can whisper and be heard with this compressor running, it is light weight and I love the very looks of it, definitely will be buying a bigger one when my garage is completed, would give this 10 stars if I could.

21-11-2024Bought this to blow out swarf while milling. Its very quiet and does not take up a lot of space. No leaks and air volume is sufficient for my uses. Definitely wont fit the needs of larger and noisier compressors, but use your head to select the proper size for what you want it to do.

> 3 dayThis is my third CA tools air compressor and it is so quiet I can not understand how I lived with my old noisy compressor for so long. I used to have to wear ear protection using my old compressor and eventually gave it away to my neighbor. Now I know when he fills his tires - the whole neighborhood knows. All three CA tools compressors work great - no problems yet. The low noise is truly worth the upgrade. I wont buy any other brand.

> 3 dayWe had another one (much bigger unit) that made huge LOUD noise. My husband bought this one for me. I like to blow off my lamp shadows and other things. By the way, hubby uses it to for the tires on the cars. Great price and GREAT item.

> 3 dayI was blown away how quiet this compressor is. The fan in my shop is louder. Absolutely awesome!
