19-11-2024It is still a bit loud, although a vast improvement over my old one. I use it in a dental laboratory and while quieter than my previous unit its still loud enough that in a closet with the door shut across the building from me when it kicks on I cant hear the radio anymore and conversations are difficult to have over the noise. However the dual tank capacity is pretty good and its very compact.

> 3 dayThis really meets the claim. It is light and quiet. Tank size is kind of small but the refresh rate is fast. It is so nice to have the compressor comeonand not have to leave the building or even raise your voice.

> 3 dayFirst off, this thing is surprisingly quiet. Everything works great and practically no leakage. After 1 week at full pressure, there was only 1.5lb of pressure loss. There was a small amount of damage which I am not concerned about. You can run this in the house and not disturb anyone. I would recommend an auxiliary air tank though. I used the tank from the dead 20 gallon compressor this unit is replacing. Less than $8 in parts and its a fully functional tank. I spoke with California Air Tools and they told me that this is a 70/30 motor and that I shouldnt run the compressor for more than an hour at a time so the 4 minutes it takes to fill the total 24.6 gallons doesnt worry me. Sure, it takes a little longer to get 20 gallons of air, but my ears arent bleeding while the compressor is running.

> 3 daySuper quiet, but thats why I bought it. Well packaged, it survived intact as I watched the UPS man roll it out the door of the truck (yes, he rolled the square box up the aisle and was end-over-ending it down the stairs when I told him to stop and I would take it from there). At roughly 45lbs, its not heavy, but still not light; however, definitely light enough to carry out of a truck. Would be nice to see an aluminum frame for even more weight savings. The on/off switch is not readable unless you have a clear angle as its black on black. I simply wrote on/off with a white marker to make identification quicker, especially in low light. Because of the small capacity it took some time to fine adjust the regulator to (110psi max) without going below. Once I found it, I marked the spot as a reference. I was easily able to adjust the low limit switch to 95psi (factory appeared to be ~85psi) to ensure my nailer didnt fall below minimum. Finally I dont get interrupted by the compressor, and the baby can still sleep when I work inside. For reference, I replaced a bostich pancake with this unit. I swear the bostich was louder than my 5hp shop compressor. This compressor is being used for nail guns only. You could fill tires and do the occasional blast of air, but capacity is lacking for any flowing air application.

> 3 dayFirst impressions are that it exceeds the advertised specs- and more importantly why I bought it. The unit came securely packaged and double boxed. I mention this as a Hitachi that I had gotten from Amazon a number of years back. Amazon being Amazon handled that situation well, but it was a relief having this one pink and perfect. The Porter Cable 6 gallon that this replaced , served me reasonably well. Though the first one on that and its replacement developed leaks within a month. Should this one do the same, I will update my review. I still have the old Hitachi- and it doesnt leak a bit. To start with, the noise from every other small compressor Ive had is simply rude compared to this little gem. Not only does it run quietly, it performs well. The old PC was starting to draw more amps as it aged. This runs off a nice 5500 watt inverter, but when the 8.5 AMP cold start draw eventually turns into 12 and change, it is time to take the stress off. This one currently pulls 7.4 amps all day long. I opted for the aluminum tank as I am one of THOSE who doesnt drain his tanks as often as I should. I dont spray with it , so Ill be doing well to drain this once a week. You know what the other steel tanks looked like when they were drained. Rust. This is actually close in size to the PC as well. It nestles in the same frame as that one. Bonus. Update June 2022 Shes still running as new after much use.

> 3 dayIts a good quiet compressor but extremely heavy and the rubber handle came off the 2nd day and air filter off from vibration but still happy with it.

> 3 dayIt will not power an air tool, the air depletes very quick and would not recover fast enough. Good for projects that do not require cfm.
