California Air Tools CAT-4710SQ 4710Sq Quiet Compressor Gray 4.7 gallons

Quiet as advertised, measured with a decibel meter. The pump is efficient, topping off is very fast. No accessories/hoses came with it. Good quality overall. Very happy with it.

First off I’d like to start off by saying, I was really excited for this compressor from California air tools. I can’t speak for their other models, but this is for model CAT-4710SQ. Arrived falling out of the box. Regulator does not work Psi gauge stuck at 20psi having never even been turned on. Solenoid valve broken Take it all off to find the tank and fitting are rusted inside. I bought this for airbrushing and now that I’ve gotten it up and running, it’s really nice. The box it was shipped In was too big and I suspect I got a returned unit. But all in all it runs quiet as advertised. I’ve been airbrushing till 1am and it’s great! If you were to buy an equivalent spec compressor made for “airbrushing” you’d have to spend way more than this. I had to: replace all the fittings to brass - the ones that were on it were steel and already rusted inside Change the solenoid or “electromagnetism” as it’s called in the manual- mine arrived busted-the one on it is fragile so don’t strip Take all fittings apart and put Teflon tape-When it arrived it leaked a lot Replace the regulator-mine arrived broke and a quick trip to the harbor took care of it for under $20 I can’t say yours will need all of this stuff too. But you will have to take this think apart to get rid of leaks. It’s not too hard, but if you’re not comfortable working on stuff I’d go with a different model. I updated this from 1 star to 3 after the frustration of dealing with all of this. It works, But it does get hot asf

Nice little compressor. Quiet and fast. My old one burned up. This seems much more reliable, and definitely quiter.

I read the reviews and this is everything I expected and more. It’s really, really quiet which I love. The only draw back is it’s not on wheels and is very heavy to move a round. Other than that it’s a fabulous buy.

Its not dead silent, but its so much quieter than conventional air compressors! For its price point its a killer purchase, even though it doesnt have a massive tank of air, its powerful and quiet enough that air pressure has never been an issue for me.

I love the fact that this compressor is really quiet. I can run it in the house without it making a lot of noise. It works as well as other compressors I have used. The only issue (and it is not a big deal) is the weight of the unit. It is fairly heavy and cant be carried any great distance. Since I transport it via vehicle, I can put up with weight. All in all, a worthwhile purchase.

Quiet and fills quickly. The unit did have a leak where the regulator threads into the tank. This is an easy fix with some ptfe thread sealant and Teflon tape. I would give it 5 stars if it did not arrive with a leak.

This compressor is very quiet and actually is not that big. It makes plenty of air for my needs including blowing up tires, some air tools and air brushing. I did not want a large bulky and noisy compressor and this one is just right. I am sure it would easily run air nailers, pop rivet guns, air operated grease gun and other small volume air tools.

I have purchased a lot of small compact compressors. This is the best one I have ever purchased. Moderate white extremely quiet

This compressor is so quite you dont even know its running.
