> 24 hourI recieved my compressor fairly damaged, Id imagine from the jammed shipping containers they arrive in from China. Do Not get me wrong, this thing is pretty sweet. No harm/no foul. I got in touch w/Cali Air via their websight thru amazon. They replied immediately. I ran my 4710 SQ thru its paces. Super quiet. Zero Leaks. Runs my tools nice, & cycles fast. I would def recommend this to a buddy.

> 24 hourFirst off I’d like to start off by saying, I was really excited for this compressor from California air tools. I can’t speak for their other models, but this is for model CAT-4710SQ. Arrived falling out of the box. Regulator does not work Psi gauge stuck at 20psi having never even been turned on. Solenoid valve broken Take it all off to find the tank and fitting are rusted inside. I bought this for airbrushing and now that I’ve gotten it up and running, it’s really nice. The box it was shipped In was too big and I suspect I got a returned unit. But all in all it runs quiet as advertised. I’ve been airbrushing till 1am and it’s great! If you were to buy an equivalent spec compressor made for “airbrushing” you’d have to spend way more than this. I had to: replace all the fittings to brass - the ones that were on it were steel and already rusted inside Change the solenoid or “electromagnetism” as it’s called in the manual- mine arrived busted-the one on it is fragile so don’t strip Take all fittings apart and put Teflon tape-When it arrived it leaked a lot Replace the regulator-mine arrived broke and a quick trip to the harbor took care of it for under $20 I can’t say yours will need all of this stuff too. But you will have to take this think apart to get rid of leaks. It’s not too hard, but if you’re not comfortable working on stuff I’d go with a different model. I updated this from 1 star to 3 after the frustration of dealing with all of this. It works, But it does get hot asf

> 24 hourThis is the air compressor you want. I use it mainly for spraying glazes on my ceramics. Best air compressor I’ve ever used.

> 24 hourQuiet as compressor go; leak-free. Good warranty. Top shroud to air filter interference - had to enlarge the slot slightly.

> 24 hourI use this air compressor for airbrushing and I love it. It not loud at all. Yes, you can hear it but not so loud that its drowns out everything. It doesnt take long for it to fool back up after it kicks on. I highly recommend if you are using it inside a building. It is only a fraction of the sound compared to a pancake air compressor. It is not light weight. So its good for sitting in one spot and leaving it.

> 24 hourBought compressor 4 month ago and have used it about 15 times. Very quiet as advertised. Has as much power as I need. So far, absolutely no problems. I did add the wheels just to make it a bit easier on me to move about.

> 24 hourThe quiet setting is as advertised - purrrrrrrrrrs. This is really great. I have a Portal Cable 1 gal comp and it was so freaking noisey!! It pumped out a meager .2 cfm. This 4.7 gal comp puts out 2 cfm at 90 psi x 10 times more.. For the size, this a good!

> 24 hourIts a compressor; you know what it does. The only question is how loud it is, and Id equate it to a newer garage door or maybe a washing machine. Something that does not cause you to raise your voice in a conversation at all. Perfect for my garage!

> 24 hourDefinitely a quiet compressor vs similar pancake kinds. I’m amazed. I leave mine on all the time because when it turns on, the noise is more of a slight nuisance than something I can’t even think when louder compressors kick on.
