I bought this printer because it was fast and inexpensive, and have been pleasantly surprised at its superior quality. Its extremely user-friendly with easy load and learn software, prints wondrously fast, and the quality is outstanding. The cartridges are inexpensive and readily available. The photo print quality is superior to many more expensive models. Highly recommend!

I bought this printer for my boyfriend for christmas, thinking it would be a good first photo printer to start out with. This printer is so awsome. The print quality is way better than I thought it was going to be. At times it can be loud when it gets ready to print but once you get past that it is very nice. I would highly recommend it.

Easy to set up and install. Nice picture and print. Great printer for the price. Only thing lacking is a paper tray.

I used to have a S300.It worked great and its really cost effective. That why I bought this one last week. However, this new one gets paper jamed easily, and sometimes it just fails to feed the paper in but still sends paper jamed message.( I used the the HP 21 pounds papers bought with the printer). I am considering to return it, does anyone has the same experience? How to fix it?

IT WORKED GOOD FOR AWHILE AND THEN IT STOPPED PRINTING. IT WOULD GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS BUT WITH NOTHING ON THE PAGE, i TOOK THE PRINT HEAD OUT AND CLEANED IT THOROUGHLY WITH ALCOHOL. IT WAS PRETTY DIRTY. I PUT IT AND THE CARTRIDGES BACK IN AND NOW I GET A PRINT ERROR THAT THE PRINT HEAD IS INAPPROPRIATE FOR USE. HELL FIRE, I JUST PULLED IT OUT OF THE PRINTER. I SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET WHO ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, THANK YOU ROBERT D. SMITH

This printer worked wonderfully for the first 4 months, but then got the imaginary paper jam problem that I have seen on other reviews. When speaking with technical support, they basically said tough luck and we had to buy another printer. The cartridges are cheap and last a fairly long time -- it even had a Staples brand one that was compatible, only $7 for black & $12 for color.

Prints sideways and squiggly. Couldnt fix it no matter what I did. Barely used it before it started messing up.

This is the best printer for us. We use a xp desktop to put the printer and are able to print wirelessly after sharing on our Network. And the ink I can buy for it is cheap! This is about my 5th one! It came new in the box and shipped fast!

Good printer. Good price for ink and last long. All in all another good canon printer

I bought the printer as an economical choice, good quality and inexpensive ink, especially from competitors. The ink is what costs. Like gas prices, I need to watch the costs. I believe this model is being discontinued. I have three. Always good to have backups. Two are used in business, one for my daughter in College.
