> 3 dayIve only used this printer a couple of times, but so far I love it. I love the overall appearance of the printer. The ink cartridges were a little hard to get in the first time, I almost gave up. Print quality is better than the previous printer I had. Very easy to set up. It does take awhile for it to begin printing documents, I wait almost a minute before it begins to print. Overall for the price and quality of printing, I would give this computer a B.

> 3 dayI bought this printer about 3 yrs ago for $30 at Wal-mart, and at the time I thought maybe I should buy a all-in-one instead. But now Im really satisfied with this product. I guess whether the product will continue working is dependent on users using manner. I think Canon has some very good products. I bought a printer for about 3 yrs, a copier for about 2, and both still work properly.

> 3 dayCanon tends to make good products, and this is no exception. A very good printer for the price.

> 3 dayWhile went to buy the Ink for my HP Photosmart printer, I noticed this printer from Canon for just $30 and bought this one without any second thought ($30 is way cheaper than the HP inks). Installation went without an issue on my Vista PC, and I am not finding printing speed an issue. So far so good. I prefer to stay with Canon than HP for following reasons. 1) HP uses color ink even when choosing black printing. Though I print black and white prints, but HP makes me to buy color inks more often than b&w 2) HP expires the ink after some period. HP wants to generate constant money flow, but IMO this is not a way to do. Thanks Suriya.

> 3 dayThis is a cheap printer, and I dont mean merely the price. The feeder on mine went bad in less than a year. It would only intermittently grab the paper to print and times when it did it would start printing further down the page than I specified. Color ink doesnt last very long and, for me, the prints came out with faded color after a while. Avoid.

> 3 dayI bought this printer in 2009 before college, and boy did I love it! I still do love it, and I plan to take it with me to grad school. I am sure in the past 5 years of use, this printer did stutter and jam several times... but for the most part, my impression of my printer is a positive one. I got this for less than $100, so I think I got this for a bargain. I guess the price went up. This printer is not the fastest, but it got the job done. You have to manually manipulate the papers and printing settings to get double-sided printing (which I made mistakes with several times). The printing quality was very much sufficient for essays and lecture notes with images. I am too cheap to use expensive ink to print photos with this, but I am sure people liked it for its intended purpose. It is loud when it prints, so if you live in a 3-person, tiny dorm room like I did freshman year, late-night printing would be a bit rude. Love this printer, and i hope I can keep using it!

Greater than one weekI bought this about 18 months ago and it still works fine. My reason for purchasing was wanting to have both my printers use the same ink cartridges and my research showed this model did. Amazing how ink cartridges are not standardized, even within a manufacturers models. This model was out of production, but found it on Amazon! Buying bulk cartridges makes more sense this way. Wouldnt it be a great selling point if one of the printer companys offered a standardized cartridge for all its printers? If not all, then at least a long running set of models. Good little printer for the price.

> 3 dayThis printer constantly feeds more than one page through at a time. This means that I have to reset it every one or two pages. I have yet to have it print more than 2 pages without jamming. It also uses up ink quickly and ink isnt cheap. I takes a long time to print. It defaults to printing 2 pages on a sheet. I would never buy this printer again, and probably wont buy a canon again because of the level of frustration I have with this printer.

> 3 dayFor the price, its worth it. Pros: - Decent quality. - Price: I bought mine from Wal-mart for $29.95. Cons: - NO paper tray. Which means that once it is done printing each page, that page will fall to the floor. - Ink. I spend $35 per set (1 color, 1 black cartridge). They dont last long. I had a 250 page report to print out (no color, all black and white text) I put in brand new cartridges before and did not get through the entire thing. So it took me 2 of each to do 250 pages. I know other brands like HP you can get more out of for less money. Do the research before you buy. Look at the cost of the printer AND the cost of the ink. If the manufacturer does not tell you how many pages each cartridge will print; keep looking.

> 3 dayThis printer prints quicker than the printer it replaced, however, when it pulls paper from the tray, its quite noisy. The print quallity of color photos are not as good as expected. For a low-price printer, this one is OK.
