> 3 dayAs soon as I opened the box I removed the printer and set it up. I immediately discovered that the paper tray was detached and broken. I then tried to print and found that the flashing yellow light indicated a problem that could not be repaired. I had previously owned two identical printers, and wanted one just like it. The manufacturer has discontinued the model, which is why I purchased the used Canon printer. The previous two Canon printers that I had owned had the same problem. I took each of them to two technicians and both of them told me that they could not be repaired. Why did the seller send me a printer that did not work from the beginning? Of course I had prepaid for my order, using a credit card. When I reported to the seller that the machine was not working he quickly offered to refund my purchase price. We had been communicating through the Amazon e-mail process. I waited to receive the sellers check and nothing happened. When I inquired he then asked me to return the nonworking printer and THEN he would send a refund. I complied with his request. I wrapped the printer carefully and sent it by UPS immediately. When I tracked UPS I learned that it was delivered to the owner at his home. STILL there has been no response from the seller, and no refund! I have documented all our correspondence.

> 3 dayFor the price, its worth it. Pros: - Decent quality. - Price: I bought mine from Wal-mart for $29.95. Cons: - NO paper tray. Which means that once it is done printing each page, that page will fall to the floor. - Ink. I spend $35 per set (1 color, 1 black cartridge). They dont last long. I had a 250 page report to print out (no color, all black and white text) I put in brand new cartridges before and did not get through the entire thing. So it took me 2 of each to do 250 pages. I know other brands like HP you can get more out of for less money. Do the research before you buy. Look at the cost of the printer AND the cost of the ink. If the manufacturer does not tell you how many pages each cartridge will print; keep looking.

> 3 dayGreat little printer for the money, but the cartridges do not last very long. They offer larger cartridges, but theyre pretty expensive too. When I went back to the store to get more ink cartridges, I realized that buying a new printer (which comes with cartridges and a small pack of photo paper) was about $4 less than buying the replacement cartridges. I felt a little guilty since its such a waste of resources (environmentally speaking), but thats Canons stupid fault for pricing things the way they have. Do they really think were not going to notice that the replacement ink cartridges cost more than we paid for the printer? Corporate America doing what it does best...wasting money. Had the two cartridges cost $25, I would have saved myself five bucks and gone on with my life. So I reluctantly bought another printer for $30 instead of paying $34 for the two little replacement cartridges. How could I not? That said, Im not the type to keep buying printers and putting them in closet or throwing them in the dumpster, so Ill be looking for an alternative soon, preferably from another company...but for the meanwhile, this one does the job just fine. Its just the principle that puts me off. Everything about the printer is great...looks awesome sitting next to my iMac too.

> 3 dayI bought this used for a reasonable price. When it first arrived I kept getting an error when trying to install the ink cartridges. Turns out the printer had sat for a few months. I cleaned the heads and the cartridge, and all is well. I wanted a printer that you can purchase re manufactured ink for. I didnt want to spend a lot on ink. Secondarily, I wanted a printer that printed a decent amount of b/w per min. Lastly, I wanted it to be portable. I am 100% satisfied with this printer. I do not have experience with the photo printing, only black and white.

> 3 dayIf you run out of color ink, it is impossible to use only black ink because it keeps asking to insert the color ink cateridge and refuse to print even though you set it up to use only black cateridge.

> 3 dayI purchased this printer and it stopped working after three months. Great timing since my warranty expired after a month or so. I took it to a repair shop and found it could not even be fixed because the AC adapter unit inside was faulty. I ended up throwing away a $50 printer, time, and money. Amazon was no help due to the warranty expiration. Research more carefully and youll be happier.

> 3 dayUsing it with Mac OS X v10.5 connected to the airport wireless hub so that it functions as a network printer for all the macs in the house. Blazing fast, excellent color print quality. I dont intend to use it for photos. Print cartridges are less expensive than most. Set up was simple plug and play. Very pleased.
