> 3 dayI bought this printer in 2009 before college, and boy did I love it! I still do love it, and I plan to take it with me to grad school. I am sure in the past 5 years of use, this printer did stutter and jam several times... but for the most part, my impression of my printer is a positive one. I got this for less than $100, so I think I got this for a bargain. I guess the price went up. This printer is not the fastest, but it got the job done. You have to manually manipulate the papers and printing settings to get double-sided printing (which I made mistakes with several times). The printing quality was very much sufficient for essays and lecture notes with images. I am too cheap to use expensive ink to print photos with this, but I am sure people liked it for its intended purpose. It is loud when it prints, so if you live in a 3-person, tiny dorm room like I did freshman year, late-night printing would be a bit rude. Love this printer, and i hope I can keep using it!

> 3 dayWhile went to buy the Ink for my HP Photosmart printer, I noticed this printer from Canon for just $30 and bought this one without any second thought ($30 is way cheaper than the HP inks). Installation went without an issue on my Vista PC, and I am not finding printing speed an issue. So far so good. I prefer to stay with Canon than HP for following reasons. 1) HP uses color ink even when choosing black printing. Though I print black and white prints, but HP makes me to buy color inks more often than b&w 2) HP expires the ink after some period. HP wants to generate constant money flow, but IMO this is not a way to do. Thanks Suriya.

> 3 dayUsing it with Mac OS X v10.5 connected to the airport wireless hub so that it functions as a network printer for all the macs in the house. Blazing fast, excellent color print quality. I dont intend to use it for photos. Print cartridges are less expensive than most. Set up was simple plug and play. Very pleased.

> 3 dayFirst of all, this printer is very professional and sleek looking. It doesnt take up much space at all when its all closed up, and prints reasonably fast for most moderate users. Drivers installed easy, came with great free software, free 4x6 photo paper, and free 4x6 premium photo paper. Best value for the price (Although you can find it at about half the cost at a not-to-be-named superstore)

> 3 dayGood Product for the Price, but if you plan on printing allot, you may want to consider a higher end printer.

Greater than one weekHi, i was faithful to Canon printers, this was my 3rd canon printer... I hated Epson printers cuz since long time ago, the epsons automatic features and ink level sw were not accurate... this was the main reason why i have been faithful to canon printers... but not anymore, i had s200, ip1500, now this one... and seems to be that as others say, there are chips in each cartridge, and my original black and color cartridges are no longer recognized by the printer, the printer sw says there is no more ink, but there IS still ink left.... I guess canon become very greedy... shame on you canon... i was so loyal to your brand for nothing...

Greater than one weekI recently purchased this printer after my hp deskjet6620 died on me a few months after my warranty (what luck!). Anyway, so far Im very pleased with the ip2600. The style is very sleek and small enough to fit on my desk. The only 2 downfalls I have come across so far is that when I printed a photo the colors are slightly dull . Secondly, the warranty from Canon is only 3 months. You could always purchase the additional warranty from Amazon.com for less than 10 dollars. All in all I think this is a great printer for the price and I am quite happy.

> 3 dayIve been searching high and low for a good printer, settled on this one due to the good reviews and ordered it from newegg. Went through the non-trivial install process for OSX 10.5, and the print driver is absolutely useless. When printing from programs like Adobe Reader, Firefox or Preview, I have absolutely NO printing options. I have to print the entire document, in full color. The only program that seems to have access to the full driver is MS Office for some reason. Canon support was not helpful in this issue at all. They basically said Oh well. We dont support all features in OSX 10.5. Good thing it was a cheap printer and Im not out a whole lot of money. Seems like some people are using it with OSX 10.5 just fine, so if there are ways to get the driver to work, please advise!

> 3 dayThis printer broke a month and a half after I bought it. It no longer takes the paper I load into it properly, and is unable to print anything. Ive gone back to using my last printer, and now Im wondering why I upgraded in the first place.
