I just got this and covered my patio couch today, so cannot yet rate for wearability or water resistance but this was just a plain flat tarp and look at the fit I got over my couch. It has some weight to it but is still flexible enough to adjust as needed. No smell, and love the feature of the tabs below the grommets...I used those to finish up the bottom edge all the way around, so the wind could not lift it. The sides were gathered together using the grommets for strength. I used good parachute cord so it also would last. I live in the hottest part of Arizona and the sun gets really strong in the summer and we dont get much rain but when we do, its heavy. I feel pretty good about getting my money out of it. Its plenty tough enough that my dogs claws cant break through; which is what happened to the original couch surface. He thinks its just for him and loves lounging on it. Stitching is strong, and edges are clean and even. Very pleased and will buy again when a durable tarp is needed.

Drove from AZ to OR with bikes, totes, and other random things in the back of the truck. Secured the tarp with bungee cords and then a shock cord cargo net. Wasn’t fully covering everything on the sides (bikes), probably leaving a 14 inch gap between the bed rail and the tarp. Everything was bone dry. Pretty much most of I5 in Oregon was hard, hard rain. Tarp didn’t get saturated or anything. Only issue I had was one of the nylon loops ripped due to how I had it secured. The tarp was tented over the handlebars on the bikes and started to rub a small hole through the tarp. This will easily be patched and was not a fault of the tarp. If I had been thinking I would have taped some cardboard or something around the bars at those contact points. I’ll be buying some more of these to make some bicycle panniers! Very happy with the price and quality

I actually brought 2 of these canvas from White Duck. one at 16 x 20 and one at 20 x 30. I am tired of the cheap tarps that I brought from local stores that would only last 6 months and a strong wind would rip them apart. I place the 16 x 20 over a portable garage which I had replaced the tarp 4 times in the last 3 years. I recon (expected) this canvas will last me 3 - 5 year. I also purchased a 20 x 30 for my ally way storage area which is 10 x 50 this canvas is heavy, we need 5 men to be able to cover this. the width is 10 but I brought a 20 one so I have overlapping canvas coming down on the side so I can tie it down and make it more secure. Really happy with my purchase. Reason for the 4 stars is that there are many pin holes in the canvas. If I stands under and looks up, I can see pin holes. I am buying waterproofing materials so I can spray on to tread it and hope it does not leak.

I bought my first tarp a few months ago. Gave it a 5 star rating - Very good product; well made. Bought another a month or so later ... dropped it to a 4-star .. still a great product, but this one arrived with water spots and a bit of mold/mildew as if it was previously used. Reported it to seller, but didnt ask for a new one. They sent me a new one anyway ... great product and service was exceptional. Back to a 5 star :) Good customer service + good product = winning combination.

I bought this to cover my outdoor patio furniture which is a delicate wood. My wife and I spent 3-4 hours protecting the wood by putting teal oil on it. We bought a cover for the furniture to protect it from the elements (we live in the Baltimore/DC area so lots of rain, hot sun, extreme wind, and occasional snow). The cover we bought was advertised as being “tough” but it ripped, weathered, and flakes out in under two years. I can already tell that this White Duck Outdoors canvas tarp is a much higher quality material than the “heavy duty” cover we just threw away. The canvas tarp is probably 3 times more expensive, but we have a canvas grill cover that is still in the same shape as it was two years ago when we bought it and it has endured the same weather as the “heavy duty” furniture cover that broke down after two years. We used some zip-ties and tie-down straps to secure the canvas tarp to the patio furniture (roughly 12ft length X 5ft width X 3.5 ft height).

Next time Ill buy several smaller sizes. This thing is so heavy that Ill probably have to leave it on forever as its just way too hard putting it on. It does the job nicely but took two of us several hours to get it up and in place and strapped down. Of course were both in our mid 60s.

I literally did not know they still made tarps like this! I’ve grown so accustomed to those noisy, crappy blue tarps that I assumed REAL canvas tarps were are a relic from the past. Even when I ordered it I was still skeptical. This tarp is the real deal, it reminded me of my childhood! Even the smell of the canvas brought back memories of my dad and working on the farm. I’m just using it for a footprint of a 6 man tent, but wish I had a real job for it! The tarp is very high quality, reinforced grommets, stitching is all quality. If you need a tarp for anything, skip the crap, spend a little more and get a high quality canvas tarp.
