I literally did not know they still made tarps like this! I’ve grown so accustomed to those noisy, crappy blue tarps that I assumed REAL canvas tarps were are a relic from the past. Even when I ordered it I was still skeptical. This tarp is the real deal, it reminded me of my childhood! Even the smell of the canvas brought back memories of my dad and working on the farm. I’m just using it for a footprint of a 6 man tent, but wish I had a real job for it! The tarp is very high quality, reinforced grommets, stitching is all quality. If you need a tarp for anything, skip the crap, spend a little more and get a high quality canvas tarp.

Heavy duty but it ripped before our trip. Tried to salvage with duct tape after covering utility trailer. Bought similar tarp in past which lasted a super long time.

I used this tarp to recover the top of my vinyl carport, and to replace the original sun-rotted vinyl. This tarp is heavy grade canvas and appears to be doing what it was intended to do ~ protect the items inside the carport from wind and rain. I am unable to review the durability of the tarp, since it was just put on and tied down yesterday, no more than three hours prior to a string rain and wind storm. Being canvas, i am expecting it to hold up longer and better than a vinyl tarp.

Had an old but well-made canvas tarp and used it for years to cover the firewood until the seams eventually failed. Tried using plastic tarps, but they all fall apart from UV in a couple months and then have to be thrown away to join the other billions of pounds of plastic junk on the planet. So decided to spring for the dough for a White Duck tarp and couldnt be happier. These things are built the way canvas products USED to be built -- to last for years, not months. Great stitching, great grommets, not a drop leaked through despite winter snowfall and freeze-melt cycles here in Montana. Totally recommend leaving the cheap junk behind and going with these very high quality canvas products. I was so impressed I just bought one of their Regatta tents -- cant wait for it to get here!

Growing up in the 1950’s, I noticed the quality of my grandfather’s canvas tarps, and presumed I could not find anything so fine today. To my delight, the quality of White Duck Outdoors canvas tarps far exceeds what my grandfather counted on daily in his appliance sales and delivery business. The 18 oz. tarps I bought are a pleasure to own. They’re rugged and durable and water proof (witnessed this first day with my utility trailer). I especially like the high-quality, reinforced grommets. Earlier tarps I owned lost grommets from the first day of use. The ones from White Duck could survive a war, I think. In fact, the canvas of the tarps I bought from White Duck remind me of the heavy gauge canvas of my father’s WWII duffel bag which we still have and use. I am more than pleased with my purchase of these tarps and very happy with the responsiveness of the White Duck Outdoors employees who could not have been nicer to work with.

I bought this to cover my outdoor patio furniture which is a delicate wood. My wife and I spent 3-4 hours protecting the wood by putting teal oil on it. We bought a cover for the furniture to protect it from the elements (we live in the Baltimore/DC area so lots of rain, hot sun, extreme wind, and occasional snow). The cover we bought was advertised as being “tough” but it ripped, weathered, and flakes out in under two years. I can already tell that this White Duck Outdoors canvas tarp is a much higher quality material than the “heavy duty” cover we just threw away. The canvas tarp is probably 3 times more expensive, but we have a canvas grill cover that is still in the same shape as it was two years ago when we bought it and it has endured the same weather as the “heavy duty” furniture cover that broke down after two years. We used some zip-ties and tie-down straps to secure the canvas tarp to the patio furniture (roughly 12ft length X 5ft width X 3.5 ft height).

I needed a heavy duty tarp to move. It needed to be water resistant, durable, and stable against strong winds on the highway. It’s rains every time I had to travel and normally it can be fairly windy as well. All the tarps I have ever bought in the past would unfortunately last one trip. The wind from the highway would completely destroy one end of my tarp without fail. So I got tired having to replace tarps and bought this one. It was a little expensive for my taste but it worked. It never moved due to the weight, it still looks like new event after my trip, and all of my boxes stayed very dry. I am very happy to say this company makes one of the best tarps I’ve ever used.
