I literally did not know they still made tarps like this! I’ve grown so accustomed to those noisy, crappy blue tarps that I assumed REAL canvas tarps were are a relic from the past. Even when I ordered it I was still skeptical. This tarp is the real deal, it reminded me of my childhood! Even the smell of the canvas brought back memories of my dad and working on the farm. I’m just using it for a footprint of a 6 man tent, but wish I had a real job for it! The tarp is very high quality, reinforced grommets, stitching is all quality. If you need a tarp for anything, skip the crap, spend a little more and get a high quality canvas tarp.

On our recent road trip w/ packed items on a pick-up truck, this tarp is sturdy and well put together; it held quite well for the entire 800+miles through two states with no tears and no rips! Wish we had this tarp the last 3 trips where we used regular tarps which ended up in the trash at the end of the trip. However, since we did not encounter rain during the trip, our review does not have any comment if it would hold well during a downpour.

I was very pleased when I opened it up. Top quality everywhere from the thickness, stitching and grommets to the re-enforced corners. I use it to cover my boat for the winter and in the past bought those plastic tarps. They were frustrating because I was lucky if I got a full year out of them before they fell apart. Not only that because they were so light it was much harder to keep them in place during a wind storm and because they were so thin water would easily pool and push the tarp down into any opening, creating a pocket to hold even more water. This tarp, if even slightly strapped is impervious to all but the strongest of winds and is heavy enough that water does not pool. Best of all this tarp will last many years.

I received this today; I needed a smaller one after having bought a larger one, which arrived in perfect condition. This smaller one arrived in original packaging covered in mold—both sides. I’ll keep it and clean it, but I never expected it would arrive in this condition.

The canvas I bought is first rate. It is heavy duty with well made material but reading the last sentence is quite confusing. the description it says :These tarps are not intended for cars (autos), boats, or highway use. Please explain because the canvas look incredibly strong.

I live in California, lots of sun, not a whole lot of rain. Bought this to cover a 20-ton hydraulic press that I keep outside (because I dont have enough room in my garage/shop currently). I drape this tarp over the unit and wrap bungee cords around to secure it. So far its holding up well.

Seems extremely durable. Its a little more rigid than I expected so I had some minor trouble folding it but thats no fault of the product. Its also a little heavier than I thought but. Just read the weight and consider it doesnt easily fold less than a 18 square footprint. Overall very pleased with the quality

Overall a very heavy duty canvas tarp. The eyelets and webbing loops at each eyelet are awesome and the stitching seems like high quality. I use mine as a cover for my little 4x8 utility trailer so it overlaps a bit on the sides and I was able to get it tight with rope ratchets. They are rated at 200 lbs and all the webbing loops and eyelets stayed intact. ONLY negative and why I gave it 4/5 is because the seam that runs up the tarp isn’t in the middle more like 1/3 but that’s really just aesthetics and 4/5 is just bc of my pet peeve for symmetry. It rained hard one night and a puddle of water formed on top but everything stayed perfectly dry Underneath. The people complaining about “bad smell” are just being petty bc it’s only noticeable if you put your face close to it and that smell is what gives the canvas it’s waterproofing. I wanted to buy another one, but they were all sold out in that size last time I looked. Also the reflective tape on the corners is a bonus feature I wasn’t expecting. Great job on this one! Try to sew in the middle though please!
