Caran dAche Classic Neocolor II Water-Soluble Pastels, 15 Colors

Better than I hoped it would be. The colours are amazing and so easy to apply and dissolve. Really happy with this purchase and pleased i have ordered the large box with 84 colours.

Fast and easy

If you have the budget, this is the best watercolor crayon you can get. There are many other brands like lyra out there, or other water soluble / gel crayons (including the gelatos and other dupes). The reality is that Caran D’Ache are far better for dissolving and blending. Admittedly, they are expensive but this 30-piece set gets you enough before having to jump to the 84-piece set.

These are so easy to use. They are a very good value for the money and I would absolutely say go for it if youre thinking of trying these. I had other water soluble crayons and when I started to use these, I could immediately see and feel the difference in them. They are now my go to for background coloring in my adult color books. The pigments are so vivid and bright and the application is smooth and even feeling. You can do light build up doiflng layers or put down a good heavy amount and get that super pigmented look. I also scribble a little on my caran darch pallet for crayons and water based pencil mixing and then I pick it up with my water brush and it works wonderfully. Theres so many good things about these crayons. They are beautiful also. Good selection of colors for any project and amazing potential. Im so glad that I went ahead and spent the extra to try these crayon out. I am more than satisfied and wish I had even more of them now. ❤ you wont be disappointed. And if you dont push too hard when using for background colors, the lines will completely dispense and disappear and you cant see any of them they will blend seamlessly

I am loving using them, they are really well crafted, the colors are true to the name. I just got them and had so much fun filling the including color chart. The only complaint I have is related to the tin, it is very thin, and the package was not well protected, so another item that came in the same box damaged some of the colors. If you have the option to buy this from a specialty seller (that would carefully wrap it) Id suggest considering that.

Update: They are still BEAUTIFUL! Side by side with Daniel Smith they holdup very nicely you can’t tell the difference. See photos below. These are so BEAUTIFUL. They feel like butter. I cant wait to use them. I know they are WAY over the level of art that I do but, who cares. I wish I could have gotten the full set 126 but, one day! My very first review with photos.
