Christmas with the Kranks

Funny move.

Christmas with the Kranks was a chuckle from beginning to end. Almost everyone has wanted to skip Christmas, has hidden in the house from Christmas Carolers and felt the pressure of neighbors to keep up with the Jones with Christmas decorations. All I had to do was LOOK at Jamie Lee Curtis and the frumpy hair and Christmas Vest and I had to laugh. While Tim Allen was hysterical as the husband preparing for Carribbean Cruise by getting botox injections. I watched the movie 3 times and everytime I belly laughed at Tim Allen trying to eat in a restuarant with his face frozen by the botox. Jamie Lee was perfect as the suburban housewife, hiding in her home one day from the neighbors demanding that Jamie give them the huge 15 foot snowman in their basement, so that they may decorate the Kranks roof with it - like every year. Anyone who appreciates Jamie Lee, frumping down into a great performance, espeically as she fights a shopper for the last Honey Ham in the grocery store, will chuckle at this movie, and laugh out loud in some places. There is sentiment too. I totally enjoyed Christmas with the Kranks and will be sure to bring the movie out every December for pleasant Christmas viewing.

Christmas with the Kranks is one of, if not THE funniest Christmas movie ever made! Tim Allen & Jamie Lee Curtis are absolutely halarious in this adaptation of John Grishams best-selling novel, Skipping Christmas. A MUST SEE! Youll want to add this one to your Christmas collection! Youll laugh so hard that youll cry its SO FUNNY! A MUST SEE!

I finally watched this movie which has been maligned for years. But, I found it to be a heartfelt, quirky and love-able Christmas movie with a message. Tim Allen plays a man who convinces his wife, wonderfully played by Jamie Lee Curtis to skip and ignore Christmas in lieu of his dream Caribbean vacation. Well, life disrupts his plans when their daughter decides to surprise then with her fiancée for Christmas. The movie starts with the Kranks pissing off everybody form their neighbors, the police, the tree salesman, etc with their message of no Christmas décor, tree, party or celebration. The latter half sees those same people come together to help the Kranks slap together a home Christmas for their daughter who is beloved. Dan Ackroyd, Cheech Marin, and M. Emmett Walsh have solid supporting roles

Am I the only one who noticed that this was a remake of the Dr. Seuss classic? Theres at least one scene lifted directly from the childrens book. This is one of my all-time favorite Christmas stories. I love the tension between wanting to celebrate Christmas (or not) your own way versus wanting to give joy to others. Krank (the Grinch, get it?) wants to avoid the stress and nonsense of Christmas and goes overboard, trying to reject the whole holiday.

Not going to spoil it for anyone... Great cast

The bluray is much clearer picture and perfect sound. But they forgot to add the special features which I hate. No bloopers nothing but the trailers of the movie. Movie came in on time and had no delivery issues. Overall one of my favorite Christmas films.

Loved the story line, loved the line-up of stars! It was funny and clean cut to watch. One of those movies you want to see every Christmas Season.
