02-06-2025Tim Allen is great in this film; its right up his alley. Jamie Lee Curtis is a bit over the top, which is too bad because she can be really excellent at comedy without overdoing it. Dan Akroyd is classic Akroyd: what else can I say? Overall, a sweet story.

Greater than one weekGreat movie, it’s a family tradition to watch it every holiday season. Still funny after all these years!

> 3 dayDislike—none. Like the whole idea. Except for celebrating the Holy Birth of Jesus, the rest of Christmas is overdone. What has Frosty the Snowman have to do with the birth of Christ? Or Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. Or the whole Santa concept, which has become so socially commercialized? Or fruit cake? Etc, Etc. I love giving, giving from the heart and I loathe how children especially are not taught the real reason for Christmas. At times, like the Kranks, I would totally love to ignore the commercialism and one ups-manship housing decorations and who gets to go to whose party. But this movie is totally humorous depiction of the craziness that many people to, to celebrate of holiday.

> 3 dayChristmas with the Kranks is one of, if not THE funniest Christmas movie ever made! Tim Allen & Jamie Lee Curtis are absolutely halarious in this adaptation of John Grishams best-selling novel, Skipping Christmas. A MUST SEE! Youll want to add this one to your Christmas collection! Youll laugh so hard that youll cry its SO FUNNY! A MUST SEE!

> 3 dayI read John Grishams book Skipping Christmas a few years ago, about other peoples expectations of us at the holidays and what happens we someone dares to say, Im opting out this year! When this movie came out, it was not entirely what I expected and seemed a bit cheesy at first, but it has really grown on me over the seasons. A great cast including Dan Akroyd, Tom Poston and Cheech Marin make the movie work well. I love the scene with Jamie Leigh trying to get the last holiday ham! She is so great at physical comedy. As a mom whose youngest son lives out of the country, I would do the same in a heartbeat if he showed up for Christmas.

> 3 dayThis particular copy will not play in the USA. Glad I had ordered two, one from another vendor. I am very dismayed regarding this product. Because it was an international shipment (not my choice) it cost me more for the return postage ($13.70) than was the cost of the product to begin with. I had to return it in order to receive the refund. I dont feel it was fair to me, the consumer. The Brits should have known that their DVDs wont work in the U.S.A. Apparently there is a difference in the electric power in some way. I have no knowledge of these things, but I dont feel that this should have happened. I will appreciate a reply concerning this. Thank you. Claudette Armentrout
